What response?

This is what grinds my gears to no end. I just *cannot* understand why people don't want to learn how something works. Like seriously. Do they have pride in sticking with just one strat and not adapt at all? FFXIV PF's raiding mentality has eluded me for years.

The GNB is annoying, but at the end of the day you can learn how a mechanic works, but the entire group needs to be on the same page strat wise. Doesn't matter if you know the mechanic if not every one is on the same page on what strat to follow. The whole point of following one specific strat is so that if you need to replace someone then you're gonna get a direct replacement who knows X strat that your group is doing, otherwise it's a mess. At the end of the day, the GNB is a dumbass, probably doesn't even properly understand what's going on in Oldbin anyways, I don't know, I'm not that far into TEA to know PA. That said, the video poster here is also very wrong because the PF supposed declared Oldbin and yet kept complaining that Elinabin wasn't the strat, regardless of how similar they are, they are not the same.

@@KainArkanos I'm a quintuple legend, so I'm familiar with how demanding ultimates are. When I cleared TEA, my static was keeping BJ and CC together, but PF at the time was doing split. And mind you, I was the tank. I grabbed BJ for my static but had to get CC for PF. Another example was back at ShB. When I was doing my clears, I got a party for E10S that posted a strat for VG 2 that I had never seen before. Had to learn it on the spot. However, I had no issue adjusting to new ways to handle mechanics. But that's just me. My point is, I have no problem learning new things. I just can comprehend why so many people are so resistant to change when it could make things easier sometimes.

@@runasth Changing in the middle of a PF is a dumb idea, that's just how it is. You don't know the other people in your party, you aren't coordinating over several lockouts together, you need to have a strat that does not change so that if a person leaves, they can immediately be replaced, it's as simple as that, there is no reason to comprehend further. I'm in a UCOB static myself that runs UAR and UAR UCOB is inferior to LPDU in some ways, yet the reason we don't swap it out is just in case someone needs to be replaced, at least you can rely on pulling someone in that understands UAR in NA before you grab someone who knows LPDU.

@@KainArkanos and here’s my response to the last part. Elinabin explains the mechanics better than oldbin. And we only using it for the updated markers. Which what Elinabin is used for. Because there’s certain things oldbin never explained. (If you looked at it)

But then again there’s YT POV on YT you can watch. Additionally if you have people who is willing to Teach and tell you how the mechanic works. You as a person (GNB) need to have the ability to listen to people rather being ignorant because oldbin didn’t explain this or that.

how he progged to PA and didnt come across Elinabin is insane.

Cleared the fight before I came across Elinabin. I used TessanTwintail's vid to learn the fight and just swapped the long tethers for Inception. Elinabin doesn't even look different from Oldbin? It just looks better is all.

Me and SGE cleared the fight. Is just that he’s telling other people who hasn’t, to stand in risky spots that will result into us dying in final word. From beacon distance towards the players.

there is a big difference between following a toolbox and learning a mechanic.

That guy didnt studied at ALL, he was basically looking at the old strat and literally just memorizing spots? damn wtf
