9:30 this right there is why I wish they'd adjust the damage done by Xande if you triple stack in Syrcus Tower. Sprouts see this and assume you can stack multiple markers and then boom, they get bodied if they unlock the other raids.

If you just play the game to have fun then mentor roulette is basically like choosing the randomize option for all the content in the game, but it's randomized with sprouts in the party. Of course those sprouts could just be experienced players on alt characters so it's not as bad as you would think. If your goal is to get the 2000 runs completed as quickly as possible then yeah you might rip your hair out if you get beginners in an extreme trial. I always play for fun personally tho

Of the Extreme trials where it seems all brain cells go to die =/ Of the many Dancers that never used Dance partner and only used single target abilities (in pack pulls) Of the Reaper that seemed to be collecting Vuln stacks in Malikah's Well Of the sprout tank that only ever used Overpower in Ultima Extreme But also brought back memories of the few sprouts that (even if most of the time we didn't get to clear) genuinely tried their best to learn the fight and would improve every single pull Of those moments where a specific mech clicked for a new player Of when an extreme is cleared with seven other sprouts and all those explanations served their purpose Thank you for the video

The one where the creatures are released. I will stand off to one at the front for that line marker. That way the healer or both dps can use the back area to to spread out a bit better. Given the proper angle it won't cross or hit anything.

I don't get all the people here saying "OH GAWD MENTOR ROULETTE IS SOOOO AWFUL I WILL NEVER DO IT!" This video right here is exactly why I love it. It's amusing. It brings variety. Running this stuff for the thousandth time perfectly without anyone effing up in the most embarassing ways possible is boring as hell.

Did the 2000 runs in 3 months, got a lot of normal content and guildhests duties. Some new content too like 6.3 dungeon. On EX it was ARR mostly, though I had some STB and HW EX, but like 10 or 15 out of the 2000 runs. Was fun and I encoutered some cool people - mentors and sprouts, and I managed to help but got helped too !

11:30 Lol this was me during my first run of this raid. I tried to read the debuff status but then the boss initiated a cutscene, when the cutscene was over I didn't have enough time to re-read it. Then on the 2nd time I misread it.

7:28 Samurai is easy but only if you understand it's rotation and I kid you not that some of the reason they don't understand it is because of the skill names. Majority of the the newbies don't read nor understand the tooltips too. XD

to be honest, the not english type of name is hard to connect which skill will follow into which one or which will give you buff.. but then i just satr with new samurai for 5 minutes with dummy and learned.. oh this 123 will give me one card for dot, this 145 will give me second card, and 16 will give me last one.. oh and those three skills are aoe.. i dropped it after 5 minutes bcs it wanted me to flank and rear and i am caster.. never done thatr?D

I remember once I was in a high level dungeon around the time Stormblood was the latest patch, I think Kugane castle. I asked the tank why they kept pulling out of my Doton, and they had no idea what that was. I said “The spinning dirt pile???” And they said they thought that was a new AOE. I responded, “My god, how have you gotten that far and never seen a ninja throw down a Doton????” I have had mentor since it became a thing and now I am just numb to the stupid LOL.

back when I mained ninja (stormblood or something) I took a moment with my pocket tank friend to show that Doton is a safe AoE to stand in and would prefer that way too. And I had to explain that also recently to another new player friend who was confused why it kept appearing. There's a reason I don't do mentor roulette even though I have it open.
