I had that experience when I got the level 63 Stormblood trial in roulette and the healers and a couple other dps were somehow *really* struggling and kept dying. At the end one of the healers raged a bit about the RDMs not raising… the trial may be synced to 64 for those higher, but I was level 63 and had to explain why that was impossible >_>

Max Potions helped so much during UWU prog. My healers mocked me at first for it, but it saved so many moments when shit hit the fan, and allowed us to prog further on runs that would otherwise be early wipes. Never tell a man he cant chug his pots.

Tbf, on UWU there are times I bit the bullet and were like, alright, Clemency's going back on the hot bars. That was mostly when out healer taht actually heals couldn't make it and our fill healer also doesn't heal much, meanwhile I'm out here taking tank busters from and ad and surviving on 3k hp with CDs on. When you die to spiny twice, you just decide it's better to drop damage and prog than whipe. As for why I don't use pots, I huff the copium and STR pot on Ifrit to hope whatever little extra damage a PLD gets out of pots can help us push before dashes.

As a sage/scholar main that also tanks with pally and war. I can honestly say I would never ridicule a tank that carries potions. In fact if tanks hp drops below 50% especially in massive pulls there can sometimes be a 5-10 second window or so that a barrier healer can struggle with. This is especially true if one isn't that proficient with the proper dmg mitigation shields. So yeah carrying extra pots is a great idea.

Bruh, I'm a AST main and I keep super-ethers and max potions to hand. You never know when things are going to derail, and where half your team dies with lb being on the second bar.

Dude warrior questline is enjoyable. When your entire job is to get punch stabbed kicked and burned and unleashing all your rage only to make it come back in order to keep you alive like you're the hulk its nice to remember that your life isn't uncontrollable rage but love for family and that person you hold most dear First comes ❤️ then comes 💀

I once had a WHM passive aggressively decide not to raise me in a WoD raid because as a red mage I was 'being selfish' for not helping with raises. Me and a few others in chat tried to explain that I literally COULDN'T raise people due to level sync, but they just didn't respond and I would literally get zero heals from them. Poor Sage had to keep me alive all by their lonesome lol

I mean, that is the case with Carbuncle and the Primals, but Bahamut and Phoenix still fight alongside you provided you are actually fighting and not just staring, but yes I agree, in fact I would have liked it more if they kept walking the road to Arthritis and gave us more to do with our summons than just a single big hit followed by buffed Ruins and Outbursts.

@@viysnjor4811 I kind of agree, I think fully autonomous pet ai is not a good idea, especially if they're the most important thing about the class. However if their actions are in the player's hands then it can be done well. Basically think of the Puppet character archetype in fighting games.

@@BonkHazard Them being autonomous or not wasn't the issue, it was the fact that the server ticks mean you get double delay when telling your pet to do something, its positioning is important or it will just refuse to do the thing you told it to, you'll press a button to tell it to attack but it was out of range so nothing happens.. if you played smn a lot before Endwalker you should understand what I'm talking about, it didn't flow at all

The job was very, very carefully designed with kaiten in mind, with it being perhaps the single most integral skill to the job's flow, and lazily removing the skill without trying to fill that void turned SAM from a deep and rewarding job into a pathetic shadow of itself. I'd go so far as to say that Kaitenless SAM is not SAM at all, that they removed the job in its entirety with such an idiotic change.

I think he's talking about the ARR alchemist questline because the 1.0 questline was just about making a medicine to get a boy out of a sleep inducing sickness. The ARR one had a little more dynamic going on. The alchemist guild master is trying bring back the woman he loved who died during the seventh umbral calamity. He lives with the regret that the time they spent together was mostly just him going on and on about his work and research while she would quietly sit there, smile, and listen. The scenes generally are him acting like a mad scientist going back and forth between running the guild and trying to find a way to bring his love back against the wishes her sister who just wants him to move on. In the last scene he succeeds in briefly returning her soul to her body and is able to apologize that he wasted his time with her blathering on and on about his work instead of doing the things he believed would have made her happy. She corrects him by saying that it was his passion for his work that she loved most about him before dissipating into aether.

For the rest of you, in 1.0 Niellefresne, who's was F'lhaminn's lover and one of the 1.0 gang, gets stabbed to death by a cloaked man. Because of a cursed blade he was was in possession of at the time, his body doesn't deteriorate meaning his spirit can't return to the aetheric sea. The 1.0 narrative more or less ends there until the same cursed blade is the weapon being used for a murder in Ul'dah during the stormblood era(ALC questline). You and some of the old 1.0 characters get together to the bottom of this. In the end you find the killer, who is unrelated to the man who killed Nielle, and find an alchemical means of breaking the curse allowing the recent victim's and Nielle's aether to return to the aetheric sea. As Nielle's aether dissipates from his body the 1.0 gang get closure and a few final words knowing that their friend's soul can finally rest in peace. As the scene unfolds the camera pans out to show Nielle's younger brother Colbernoux who is silently observing his brother's soul being laid to rest from afar. Personally I thought Nielle and some of the 1.0 boys were kinda assholes since they did that whole killing Minfilia's dad thing indirectly and then Nielle pretty much tells Minfilia he doesn't really give a shit about her dad being dead. But I guess its mostly about cat mom getting closure to her boyfriend's death.
