That’s one of the things that I’m really going to have to change my thinking about. In the original, stop only ever really worked on regular mobs. It’s much more useful in this game.

You got the plat trophy? Did you max every Materia? Did You max level cap 50? Got every single weapon, and weapon abilities? Have you u finish in Hard mode? If not you're aren't ready at all my friend. Only true Og FF fan will complete 100% I'm certainly at 96%. You probably just finish the game just the main quest and finish through. Right now I have 80:13:51 time right now (80Hrs). I'm watching how this guys complete on hard mode while I'm struggling at the ending.

@@duduportofps the FFVII Remaster soundtrack is not yet out (SE will release the CD bundle in Japan and it's so sweet!) But if you search for Distant Worlds and A New World on KZread, Google Play, Spotify, etc., you'll find the official FF concerts. For some cool rock versions search KZread for The Black Mages (Nobuo Uematsu's rock band). And for an even more alternative version, search for SquareEnix Jazz. It's incredible

For those that complain this game is extremely strategic without turn base! It’s challenging and the story mode is intense. You have to play it for yourself to really get the feel to how much time it takes to master the combat , if you do not own it you will not get it

Eric Dent Legit, there were some battles even on Normal where I spent more time with the menu up plotting my next 2-3 moves than button mashing. Only gets more true in Hard mode.

The music for the Rufus fight was so on point great job!!

This video is aboslutely insane! Never thought I would live in a world where FF7 can be played like Dark Souls, let alone there be bosses in an FF-style RPG where you can actually take no damage!

Been a long time since I've enjoyed fighting bosses on a harder difficultly, the human bosses are even more fun to fight the second time around.

Damn good gameplay. Great skill.I just finished the game and now ready for the 2nd part

@@Nazyairsengikar I found the combat in my hard playtrough more enjoyable... I maxed out all Materia there is (the ones you can obtain unlimited quantities x3) and now there is really nothing more to do. But the combat never felt boring for the 102 hours I put into this game.

Previous Final Fantasy instalment has conditioned my brain that most bosses are immune to the most usefull of status ailments if not all, so never used them much in this

I found Disorder to be an MVP skill in hard mode for me. In normal it felt like just another way to spend one ATB bar to kill an enemy, but in hard with how beefy enemies are I've had a bit of luck with it. It's been a very easy way to push enemies into being pressured while also transitioning into punisher mode to start building up ATB off the pressured enemy to chain straight into a focused thrust. Cool videos on FF7. I've totally loved the game myself.

they really stressed out that you have to take advantage of the assess materia. if an enemy doesn't have the immunity, take advantage of it.

Many bosses in the original FF7 can be stopped, even the Ruby weapon could be perma stopped with Cross slash.

Bro you ain't alone, with people like Cloud And Tifa I run out of MP in no time. Especially Cloud. Then I know the CPU is always going to gun for Aerith. When they get to the second part of the boss fights they wail on her. And don't get me started on the slow ass ATB, you have to attack to build it up just so the Boss can counter you and then when you block to fill it they a guard breaker attack. It gets annoying at time having to go 3 rounds just to get a victory.

That's exactly how I took him down on my first playthrough. He was pissing me off so much because he kept parrying me, but he kept doing that dash into a strike so I used counterstance and instantly broke him.... leading to Ascension limit breaker. Did his entire health bar.... was such a sexy finisher.

What is your set up for Cloud? Like materia Weapons all that jazz. Great vid btw :)

You can also just like pause the video and see the stuff they are suing and just cross reference it with materias that work with what he doing and the LB at start is from that final accessory

Do this. Hardedge and Chain Bangle with elemental attack (fire, ice, lightning, wind), rotate it based on weaknesses. First strike, and deadly dodge at least. I personally give him healing magnify cause his atb builds fastest, hp up, mp up, magic up, other magic attack (fire, ice, lightning, wind). I have to have Bahumet, and Tifa has the gotterdammerung. Ability shortcuts are triple strike for fast strong attacking till pressured, followed by focused strike till stagger or disorder to do heavy damage, and infinity end when staggered. I stopped using magic materia often because u cant use items in hard, but the abilities are sick. Always rotate through your team to build everyones atb. Instead of blocking, try switching party members.. that's all I got. But I have the platinum trophy lol Oh dont use Hardedge on Hell House, just don't ha

@@oppenheimer11 House House is basically all magic. Hardedge is weak with magic, and has no defense. that sweeper and Cutter will show up like 5 minutes in to phase 3 of hell house so seeing the houses element and destroying it fast is essential if your not maxed out yet

One on one bosses on hard are easy if u have right stuff (apart from the tonberry) but being surrounded by 3 or 4 enemies is instant death (specially the rats in chapter 3)

That's because a lot of it is. Also, he has an accessory that lets him have a free limit break at the start (which to get you have to beat a certain battle simulation that is only in the hard difficulty). Also counterstance, which is a godsend and if you're good with it you will melt enemies and bosses. Also, defending and using haste so he doesn't have to attack to get his ATB to fill faster.

The red materia is so cool to se on the sword

btw, with reno if you dodge into him as he does his beginning attack, you'll flip over him which i think saves some time (and is way more embarrassing imo). saw it on a "no damage" fight and tried it myself. no clue if you can do it in any other battle, but every time he does that little thrust dodging into him is a fun little tech

You can tell what magic materia he has equipped when he uses them, since physical attacks are triggering weakness he has elemental on his weapons. It's safe to assume this is after beating the game since he has access to gotterdumung to give limits at start so I'd figure he has all the transcripts and maxed weapons. Also first strike materia. Cloud's in the mid 7000s so he probably only has one HP plus equipped Edit: adding as I see more
