Can we all just appreciate the size of Rufus shinras balls in this movie? He literally had Kadoj and his gang running around in circle, making the trio look like idiots sending them on wild goose chases and every time Kadoj talked to him Rufus had Jenovas head right in his lap, his only protection from being torn to ribbons is a sheet and his own balls

I've seen this so many times but I still can't help being emotional when Aerith appeared

The movie introduced me to the Final Fantasy series. When watching the movie, people will easily realize that Cloud is stronger than most others, far superior to 2 years ago in FFVII, the Tusk group or even a Bahamut dragon is no longer a big problem for Cloud. Even as the disease Geostigma was eroding his vitality and weakening him. What I like about Cloud is that he learned the skills he observed from others and developed his own strength without going through any of Shinra's Soldier programs. So much so that Rufus Shinra had to admit that, although Cloud had never been a Soldier, Cloud was one of the strongest warriors he had ever met.

I think Cloud used Finishing Touch against Kadaj before he face Sephiroth

I always loved this battle, and after playing remake, i can see this being a part of the overall narrative. This story and battle against good and evil has been played out 1000 times, that eventaully leads to a singular fight of light vs dark. Aerith can sense it, Sephiroth can see it :D

What i really enjoy now looking back at ff7, and ff10... you can see the parallel of the world's stories. It makes total sense that they share the farplanes. And it also makes the scene with Denzel looking at the people suffering... make way more sense. Advent was the precursor to Rebirth's timeline.. And Aerith has been hard at work even still.😢 It's kinda sad, but amazing how much the cast really has and through... and yet without hesitation or question they all show up for one another! It makes me excited to see the final showdown in rebirth. So much can open up depending on the ending.

2:00 is the best part. Cloud arrived so everyone backs up. They know they are about to witness wreckage.

Crazy how this movie came out 18 years ago. Seem like it was just yesterday when I first saw the proto trailer at E3 Japan 2002-2003.

Aerith being the last one to throw Cloud makes me teary eyed every single time 🥹🥹🥹

Went to go see this in February when Enix was showing this in theaters. I got really excited for this part since no matter how many times I see it, it'll always take my breath away. This hits differently when you go watch it in a theater with all the OGs who played the original, cheering at the end of this part. I went alone, btw, and this just made it even more special

Aerith she will always by side on Cloud and guide him❤

At 1:19 starts one of the most amazing and acrobatic scenes ever created.

Vincent still dodging near 9f the Bahamut's face, and he can't get him. So badass

God damn that look Tifa gives Cloud before throwing him upward and the swell of music as she does so. Also, when he grabs Barret and drops him and just turns all focused. So fking cool!

Cloud's tsurugi sword is pure badassery

Let’s not ignore Vincent just going HAMM that shit was crazy busting caps

Cloud is superior than a 1st class without being one.. I don't know if the people who said he was weak notice, but he was fighting in the entire movie with only the "attack" option, he didn't used a single materia which mean he has no magic or any other ability... His enemies fought him with magic, summons and 3 v 1, and still didn't stand a chance... Only Sephiroth fought in equal condition but we are talking about Sephiroth

Damn rewatching this, I can see how the remakes are totally very reminiscent of this action scene wise

TIFA VS THE GUY IN THE CHURCH IS ONE OF THE MOST EPIC FIGHTS EVER!!!!

2 minor details that make this movie amazing. First, we don’t even really see Aerith or Zack, which is probably a combination of ptsd as well as just being so long since cloud saw either of them, that it’s difficult for him to envision or even see their faces. Second, there’s a tiny moment that’s easy to miss when he’s launched up at Bahamut. Barret launches Cloud up, Cloud fights Bahamut a bit before he starts falling down. Bahamut hits cloud with his foot to launch him down faster, but cloud actually brings the flat of his sword up to block the attack and mitigate the damage.

Cloud hit him with that focused thrust at the end

Omg what they did to RedXIII... Just Caith Sith vehicle

Far as im concerned Cloud made Solider First Class the moment he singlehandedly killed Sepiroth.

19 years later and I still think about this scene… the whole team boosting Cloud and then Aeris shows up… 🥲

1:16 Vincent was all up in his face, buckin' when Tuffie follows up, and RedXIII take a large bite and holding him while Cid leaps on top stabbin the tf out of him.

I like how much Cid pulls his weight in the first half of the fight. Also, which bahamut was this? Bahamut, Bahamut sin, Neo Bahamut, Before Crisis Bahamut, Dirge of Bahamut, Bahamut Hearts, bahamut hearts 2, etc

Its technically light work for vincent but he just shy and let cloud do the work.

The movie might not have been written too well for the most part, but moments like this really emphasize to this day why Advent Children is still the only thing I'll accept as FF7 canon besides the original game.

If ur friends dnt lift you up when u reaching high to your goal like how they helped cloud u need new friends in life lol.
