Fezzari Wire Peak Elite!! E-Bike First Ride!!
I got an opportunity from a subscriber (Andrew) to test out an E-MTB he had on order and I was stoked to check it out since I've not got to experience what these things are like.
We met up at Low Hollow Trail in Bowling Green Kentucky where I took it for a ride both with AND without pedal assist...Lets just say, Stability is the word of the day...and speed.
Not intended as a push for you to get OR not get one. Just a video about my experience and a bit of review of this really great bike. www.fezzari.com/wirepeak

For those of you who already ride an E-Bike, What brand do you use and why?

Pedaling Dave I got a Specialized Turbo Levo which I love. The Fezzari elite was on my short list, but decided on a LBS for my first ebike. When you come to Chattanooga you’re welcome to a test ride/review.

I enjoyed this video. It was helpful for you to share your experience. I am considering this exact bike and ride mostly trails but live in a hilly area. This appears to be the ticket! It was helpful to hear that it handles well. Some of the reviews commented that it rides heavy compared to others. I think the short chain stays and geometry will be just fine in my neck of the woods. Thanks!

Glad you found it helpful! I couldn't tell you if it rides more heavy than others unfortunately, as I've never rode any others. I CAN tell you that it was a total blast!

Fezzari makes an amazing product. I ride a 2019 Signal Peak and use it to take podiums and even sweep 2 entire series last year. However, since it will take up to a 29x2.6 tire, it's super playful and almost trail/enduro feeling with the big tires and the token flipped for more slack geo. I'd really like a Wire Peak, but I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on a La Sal Peak next year. Totally impressed with their product and customer service.

Fezzari definitely has my attention! Will be looking at them closely when looking for the next new bike.

Did you ever get that Fezzari LA Sal Peak ? I'm thinking about getting a Fezzari Delano Peak for my first full suspension bike.

Man, that looks like fun! I’m not against ebikes, like yourself; I don’t necessarily need one now, but I’ll probably have one in the future.

I'm 59 and purchased a yamaha moro pro mtb, absolutely love it 80nm of torque and is an absolute blast to ride. I also switch it up occasionally and ride my Trek Fuel ex and love riding that one as well. If I had to choose between ebike and conventional I'd go ebike all the way. Don't have to use the power but it's nice on the long climbs

Every time I look for "my next bike", an eMTB is really up there on the list. The ability to session jump lines that have big climbs is the biggest factor for me!

cool. you need to do some trails with some big climbs and then you will really see the benefit of an EMTB.

Albeit a polarizing topic, I've yet to watch an e-bike review video where the reviewer didn't have a blast. It looked like your experience was similar to mine; you're jumping stuff going UPHILL, getting more laps in, and still getting a great workout in.

Yeah, it's a hot topic for sure and DEF a ton of fun! It is actually a lot of work on these bikes. It kept me on my toes taking turns and such and made that part much more physical than usual. This particular bike was also a size Small. I'm really close to being able to fit many Smalls but have always went with medium frame sizes. It felt remarkable and flick-able every time I jumped it...so good that I will be sure to test ride more small frames before my next bike purchase!!

No, not really. It was definitely noticeable but it never bugged me any. Like a loud hub, some will like it but others wont I suppose.

@@PedalingDave Gotcha. I'm looking at getting my wife an e-bike now. She had knee replacement. She's over 50. Both of us are out of shape. I think it would be a wise investment and get her on the right track to being healthier. I'll probably stick with a non e-bike, but who knows. I'll get hers first and try it out and see. Weigh my options. The base model is about the same price as the bike i'm looking at anyway to replace my hardtail. I'm sick of getting the crap kicked out of me on rougher trails.

I call my Haibike AllMtn 2.0 "Cocaine" - because everyone who tries it ends up buying an e--bike within a month. I noticed you used the word "addictive" to describe your experience.

Whoa! That seat is so low, my knees would be hamburger within 200 meters! Get the seat up where it belongs! Or in mountain biking is the goal to chew up the cartilage in the knees by having them bent under 45 degrees? I have to keep my bike's seat high enough so my knees are never more than about 15 - 25 degrees, else I can't ride.

Well for one, the guy who actually owns it is quite short (shorter than me even), and I wasnt going to change his setup for my one and only ride on it. Second, in the opening shot, the *dropper post* was simply lowered and I didnt ride it like that until I was descending.

@@PedalingDave Fair enough. I have quite long legs so notice that feature more than others likely do. Thank you for the explanation. I doubt I'd mess with someone else's setup either.
