I also own a Fezzari! They are some really great quality bikes for the prices, and I'm really happy with my purchase. Shred on!

Was formerly on Team A. But then being a weekend warrior, I was almost always dead at the beginning of the work week riding my Polygon T8. I started mulling over an e-bike late last year and wanted to explore more trails without worrying if I have the energy to get back out. A couple of my riding friends have both analog and an ebike and I was able to try out one right on (a part of) the trail. I didn't like how heavy and clunky the full-size ebikes are though as I'm a lightweight. After careful research and deciding it's now or never, I discovered the Orbea Rise and got myself an M20. Yes it was expensive but I have no regrets. It's the best ebike for me and I use it to take it easy after riding hard the day before or when the group decides on an ebike day. And yes, ebikes still give you a good work out since you go faster, farther, get more laps, and more body movement changing directions. I like that you get the option to have a good work out or to have a recovery ride.

Couldn’t agree more! And the rise is a bad to the bone bike…would love to throw a leg over one of those. Thanks for sharing your story and taking the time to watch!

You’re gonna love it! Some of the best fun I’ve ever had on a mountain bike! I never thought I’d be smiling in what would normally be annoying climbs. 😂 Congrats in advance, and thanks for watching!

My same thoughts. I currently enjoy my Mt Bromo N7 from time to time, not my go-to bike, but like you said, after a ride or workout that got you sore, perfect

Splendid video. I am coming down to Bentonville tomorrow. I already have a Wire Peak reserved for my son from Encore. I have an Orbea Rise, and I broke it in, in Slaughter Pen last Oct.

Thanks man! Might be a little wet in B-Ville tomorrow so I’d look into some wet route action. Glad to hear you went with encore! Hopefully you were able to take advantage of my channel coupon. Sorry to hear about your orbea rise! That’s a bike I’ve really wanted to try out. What broke if you don’t mind me asking?

@@JaredRMorgansorry bad wording. I didn't break it. It was my first chance to really ride it, that is what I meant. I love my eMTB. It's the only MTB in my stable right now. I was into commuter bikes for paved trails until I found all you KZreadrs. 🤣

I have both types, a DIY ebike using a Jamis Dakar XC and a Cannondale Trail 7 I built up. I usually bring both with me and start on the Trail and once I either finish a full lap or just get to tired I hop on the Jamis as just go for fun and mileage. Have also had a few days I wanted to ride but didnt feel like struggling thru the climbs so I just bring the Jamis and go have some fun. That said mine can be just as much of a workout, just at a faster pace or you can go full cruise as mine actually has throttle which helps if you are in low power mode and dont have the power to get thru a climb. It may not be as rewarding knowing how easy it to get thru some stuff but you also dont suffer trying to climb. If I ever run into you need to try it out. Our trails in Ridgeland MS have a good bit more climbing than Im used to from the Comite trails I used to live by thru college and high school.

Yeah I like that approach of using it as rig #2 to extend what would normally be a completely impossible day! Another good use for sure. Sounds like you have quite the setup! Enjoy, and thanks for coming by to support my channel.

In my area, e-bikes are not well-liked and most trail systems don’t allow them at all. I appreciate when people have a respectful, and unbiased opinion and can see both sides of the argument. However, I think there should be an an exception for e-bikes for anyone who might have a disability that would make riding a normal MTB too challenging/unsafe or completely impossible. For example, my uncle (who introduced me to mtb) has Parkinson’s and riding his normal bike is becoming nearly impossible because he doesn’t have the endurance or balance anymore to keep momentum - especially around here with our big climbs and gnarly tech. He does have tremors and moves very slowly, but unless you’re up close, he doesn’t “look” like he has anything wrong with him, so that’s why I would worry about people harassing him if he was to switch to an e-bike. People are too quick to judge and assume someone is being lazy when in fact that may not be the case at all. I’m all for inclusivity and diversity in MTB and getting people involved and I would really like to see the narrative around e-bikes shift a bit.

I agree! Like anything it seems people just really don’t like change. I certainly appreciate them and what they can offer to the scene, but as I mentioned in the video I have no plans of ditching my regular bike. They’re very different. It would, indeed, be nice for them to be a little more accepted especially in the case of a need.

Awesome review! One of the e-bikes I'm looking at and I'm visiting NWA in July and have been there several times - actually planning to move there in 2023! Never ridden an e-bike so my wife and I have some greenway e-bikes reserved for a full day of greenway (she doesn't MTB) = probably start by Phat Tire head down that same greenway by All american/compton gardens! All American last June: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q2Wck7V-hbHahMo.html
