Although, it is possible to weld cast iron, but it needs to be done using the correct techniques and with care to avoid cracking. Most welding methods require the surface of the material to be cleaned and cast iron benefits from pre and post-weld heating as well as careful cooling.

I sat here patiently waiting for some very unique idea to take place and turn into something spectacular, and what happened? Absolutely nothing!, except I wasted 6 minutes of my life I will never get back again...... why in the heck would somebody go to this much work to make something so impractical, hinges for what reason?, something that takes up so much space, very small storage area, why in the heck didn't they just take Soup cans, have quite a bit more volume for storage of screws, be able to tuck them under the bench, and carry them to wherever you're doing your project? I think that people have just too much time on their hands, or just trying to come up with bait and click videos which turn out to be a waste of time!.......Dang! 🙈

That’s not what I would consider a good cast iron frying pan. A good one has the handle cast in with the pan, and there’s no machine marks on them. You could see the machine marks on the bottom of that pan. Not worth 10 cents.

Cool. The curvature of the pan makes it much easier to get screws out of the bottom. The only thing missing is dust protection. I've moved to covered containers with clear tops. HFT Storehouse lg, med, sm portable parts storage bins 93927, 93928, 64811, 95807.
