I learned this secret years ago from my drill sargent. We did this at the firing range. One private held the wrench in his teeth while another private shot a hole through the wrench with his M16. We had to bend wire in a square just big enough for a boot to fit in, then stick the long end of the wire in the ground, so just the square end was above ground. Then put some grass over it as camouflage, and wait for the enemy to get his foot stuck in the wire and fall on his face. I don't know what we would have done without this military secret. Now this genius, worker with hands, has improved on the military method. I can't wait to see what other amazing things this worker with hands, comes up with. Perhaps a way to screw a lightbulb in the ceiling by holding the lightbulb, while 1000 friends turn the house.

The only thing missing was voice over guy from How It's Made, "Then the worker bends the rod for no practical reason, maybe for shits and giggles" "Next on How It's Made".............

Actually, out of all the viewers, I have found a use for this tip. When people go to the beach in the summer or tailgating at a game, they often take a canopy with them which they have never used before, and after a few drinks, have little to no chance of taking it down without breaking something. The critical parts slide up and down on square steel posts, to be locked place. I picked up two canopies in one week, and for the first, I used pliers and a vise to make a square out of heavy wire(from old political signs left in my yard) and fixed it in three minutes and have used it continually for a year. My neighbor had put it on the street, because he couldn't fix it. The second one needs a little work, and a few parts from Amazon or an online sports store, but it has a 12' x 12' vented canopy and looks like it was brand-new and expensive, but the frustrated renters at the beach couldn't put it back together, broke some of the pieces, and threw it on the trash as they left. The canopy is in perfect condition, but the frame needs some work. When one of my other canopys fails, I'll bring the 12' x 12' back to life, using this tip.

If you don't know how to use a tap, you go 1 turn forward and half a turn back sometimes a turn and a half back to break the chip. Otherwise the tap will bind and break inside of the hole. Happy tapping.

It's not always in what the finished product turns out to be, but many times for me it's what I learn from the process and then what I can apply that to in the making of other things. Thanks for the vid.
