Festival of Europe: Central Europe

Guidebook co-author Cameron Hewitt teams up with tour guides Péter Pölczman and Darija Gotić for an inspiring sweep through Central Europe. We begin by touring the Czech Republic with perfectly preserved Prague, Hungary with cosmopolitan Budapest, and Poland with lovable Kraków. We then continue along the Adriatic Sea, weaving together Slovenia's charming Ljubljana and fairy-tale Lake Bled and Croatia's seaside Rovinj, the waterfall-laced Plitvice Lakes, historic Split, and picture-perfect Dubrovnik. Recorded 1/28/24. Promotions may no longer be valid. #festivalofeurope #ricksteves

I spent a few days in Hungary, Poland, and the Chech Republic last August, and I couldn't even tell that there was a war in Ukraine. It's safe.

But it was a different story in 2022. The fear of possible russian/belarusian spies was big. And in fact, still is for refugees from there.
