Youth travelers in Mexico is maturity. It has no dumbing down, absolute freedom. What to do.

That Mexican director is just Great
1:03:05 The Harry Potter story with Del Toro LMAO
For some reason (before I heard Cuaron talk about his work) I always thought he would be kind of artsy and stand-offish, but hes really not. Hes actually so down to earth and pleasant and not at all pretentious.

Well, he sounds a bit artsy, snobbish & stand-offish to me, contrary to Del Toro who has retained much of his humbleness.

Congratulations!

@3:46 Alfonso Appears. Great discussion with wonderful insight into his process and early career.

Sorry.

Great Expectations is legit one of my favorite movies ever. Note to artists: just cause you think something you made is trash, doesn't mean it doesn't mean something to someone else.

You see it as a movie standing alone, while he meant he wasn't liking it in the context of artist's maturity sense. Wrong reason, not having good grasp, too much compromising, etc. In terms of early works at his Hollywood period, he was more disappointed in himself rather than the works he produced.
Great!!! two Mexican Film Director in one place
Melhor diretor!
Brilliant nuggets from Cuarón throughout!😀 Listened through once and heard about 20 things that I want to write down and lots of honest insights. I'll be listening again with a notepad 📝😁

¿Efecto frankie rivers?
Ciment is so ignorant of both Cuaron's history and to actually listening to the conversation. Never noticing when Cuarón was tired of talking about the same thing, always making up facts, it's frustrating to watch. Thank God Cuarón is as nice and patient as he is.

the interviewer is fixated on stories behind the scene than getting into discussion on evolving personal development as a filmmaker

Gabriel Garcia Marquez is the nobel prize author famous for 100 Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera, Gael Garcia Bernal is the actor for Y Tu Mama Tambien.

They support to give the Oscar to yaritza because she did the actuation she did the work
I have that exact same shirt. It’s polyester.
"Desolé" omg hahah
J'en ai marre d'écouter Y TU MAMÁ TAMBIÉN. This isn’t a “masterclass” this a personal interview or something like that. Alfonso is a great guy who has defied all laws to make films in the most difficult place “studio system Hollywood’. However, I feel his first work in cinema or what I call cinema is ROMA. Is almost as he has been rehearsing many years working in commercial cinema to finally make a FILM!
