John Mulaney on David Letterman Experience, His Dad Being Unfazed & Live Show "Everybody's in LA"

Комедия

John talks about his Emmy winning comedy special “Baby J,” his neighbor telling him he had better cocaine stories than him, being terrified of a possum outside Jimmy’s guest house, having a surreal experience being on David Letterman’s show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” having dinner with his father and Dave, his dad being unfazed by it, an ill-fated trip to McDonald’s as a kid, his LIVE call-in show “Everybody’s in LA,” all of the people that are participating, David Lee Roth passing on it, and performing for the Netflix is a Joke festival at the Hollywood Bowl.

John M with ANYONE is hilarious, but with Jimmy you want it to go in for hours. It's like Seinfeld and LD.

right before Jimmy said the OJ thing I said to myself Jimmy can not comprehend that. Every story he tells about his children is He's their servant/mentor through life and against all odds he will raise a well adjusted child.

Double-posting, Mulaney's actually looking like he's feeling genuine/authentic. That's a great thing to see/watch/hear. The guy's got AWESOME writing skills. I'm an 1983 born person, so the guy's humor will always make sense to me. Over the past few years, it was getting to a point where I could tell the guy had something going-on, where his timing was just relying on bits to the point where his interviews were getting uncomfortable, almost? It's good to see him back, seeming to feel well, and just... genuinely okay like this. When I see a comedian like that be-able to go back-and-forth on the quick-wit, that's when I know it's correct, and a proper person where they belong. Anyone who can spar-off with Kimmel, is in my opinion, an authentic person for-real-though. Super good to see that Mulaney back, and see him looking good. I respect the guy a lot.
