poor guy. he’s been my favorite comedian for years. i’m glad he’s getting the help he needs

He was on point this interview. A 20 minute ramble from him is far more entertaining than 99% of other people talking about anything.

The word John was looking for is "verisimilitude" which means the appearance of truth or reality. A word I am familiar with but have no confidence actually adding it to my own spoken language. I love Johns use of words and flow, very unique it draws you in.

I was quarantining in a hotel because I got exposed to Covid during college…I accidentally ran into John Mulaney’s stand up in the field in CT. I was literally in my hotel room watching SNL and then I was like “that guy outside sounds like John Mulaney”. Turns out it was and I got to watch him perform from my quarantine hotel room. Highlight of my semester🙌🎉.

As someone who grew up with addict parents and other relatives, something about this interview and other things around the same time of this gave me an off vibe. I wasn’t 100% shocked when I heard he relapsed (no judgement like I said I grew up with addicts), and was incredibly proud to hear he went into rehab. But yeah there were sadly a few signs here if you know how to spot them.😞❤️

I just love John so much. It's weird coming back to videos from November and December 2020 knowing that he was in the midst of a pretty severe relapse. I'm just so glad he's doing better now and he's actually sober.

Yeah especially cause he seemed really hopefull that the job with Seth would help. It's sad it didnt but Im glad he didnt stop trying to get better.
