Despite all the other mostly semi lethal tools I use I'm sure this would be the one that takes the ends of my fingers. Something about them just puts me off. Perhaps it's because I've seen a pro one eat a steel tube and I'd watched a Tarantino movie the night before 👀

Been looking at those myself Victor. I've had a lot of tools and the like from Aldi and been satisfied with them all, they are very reasonable for in store replacements, i am sure that you will make good use of it. Pud, a Kirkby Lad.

Sometimes the Lidl tools are better but same kind of price. I pick and choose between the two. Got the Lidl hand belt sander and there bench disk sander and both are great. Plenty of reviews of parkside and ferrex tools

All the Aldi (and Lidl) tools I have had have been very good. They generally have quite long guarantees, too.

Do you know how to replace the belt? I'm struggling as the instructions seem to be incorrect and all youtube videos are older versions which I believe my instructions would match. Mine is the same as yours - are you able to replace the belt using the instructions? I'm at a loss 😫

Hi Rachael... This video kzread.info/dash/bejne/dIxk0LWyprHUhJs.html shows how and it's exactly the same for our version of the sander. I'll also look at the instructions later if I can find them :P Regards, Victor...

@@FretFriendGWaL Thankyou for getting back to me! I managed to work it out in the end - I may have slightly been over stressing as I bought it last week but only got the belts I needed today and really needed to get some work done 🤭 I really don't think they are great instructions but it has made my work 10x faster so I guess worth it!

I bought one of these about 2 months back from Aldi, yours looks different to mine, in fact yours looks like previous years model?. Have you had this some time before recording this?. Anyway, hope it works out, haven't used mine in anger yet. Thanks.

@@FretFriendGWaL how strange, they obviously got mixed stock of previous years and this. For what it's worth mine came faulty, had to take it apart and refit the internal drive belt. Consensus being that the previous years model was better.

Hiya me again! I wonder if you have any ideas with my problem please - I only use mine once a month maybe and sand around 150+ wooden blocks. It is stored in its box indoors when not being used, just got it out today and it will not sand flat? My blocks are all warped as the sawdust is sticking to the block and making it sand uneven. I've changed the belt and no luck - losing the will to live I don't know what I'm doing wrong 😟 Thanks, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi... I don't know the answer to your problem, sorry! I only use mine for carving small bits of bone blank for guitar nuts! Maybe you are trying to remove too much material without clearing debris (dust). Victor...

@@FretFriendGWaL I wanted to send you videos of my neck. I was playing it last night and looking at it. Feeling good about myself, because after the work I did and how much I Play it, the cracks are baby smooth again. Still chaps my ass. But I'm good friends with one of the main guys at the US pro shop and they are so amazing. One of the reasons I love vintage so much. The first one I got the Icon V6 had bad frets and it's funny, because he said if I sent the neck to him and paid shipping he would level and dress it. So I have now complaints on that front. Switch on the V6 started cracking and the input is loose reached out, got a brand new ones. A while back the neck pickup died, sent me a Lefty by mistake, told me to keep it and he'll send another. Told him I love the distressed guitar, hate the rusty hardware, sent me a full set of reissue V6 nickel hardware. Love them.

@@FretFriendGWaL I'm sure. The UK group, very uptight and deny problems of any type. The US boys will help in anyway they can to help with Vintage shortcomings. I will cherish the ones I have, but never buy another. Squier and Ibanez. My next is an Ibanez ASE40
