When I was a teenager in the Vale of Evesham, I had a Lurcher ( half whippet, half deer hound ) called him Smokey because he was grey. I worked him with a Jack Russel bitch called Deefor ( D for Dog ), and 2 polecat ferrets, tweedle dee and tweedle dum . Best days of my life.

Yes I was happy with him around the warrens. It's just his ignorance when he's got a scent he doesn't like to come back. That why I wanted to spade him at the end lol

Nice to see dogs working. My Collie eats ferret caught rabbit so much appreciated from Dorset : )

@@reynoldsoutdoors3055 No I don't have ferrets but really appreciate a non shot filled rabbit . I can skin then etc. I hope you get paid decent money for each Rabbit as I only paid £4 for a whole one . Ferrets are great little catchers and your dogs know their work very well : )

Your dogs are good at letting go. My Ida is lightening fast and catches well. But she does like a wee play first before letting go. She’s only 9 months though.

Enjoyed that. Rabbits were lucky there were fences nearby. Nice location and those warrens out in the field looked good for the dogs. I take it you've ditched the patreon idea?

Yes mate I have ditched the idea. It's a cracking spot. Hoping to do some camping when it gets warmer. Try make a catch and cook vid.

Loved the video the new permissions looks like it holds a good few rabbits so id say u will have to go back and thin them out again so hopefully another video the dogs are working well realy tank you for posting the video looking forward to the next video

i learnd 20 years ago that silence is the best way to ferrett rabbits dogs seem to make the rabbits stick up they seem to bolt better by use of longnets and silense

Dogs are worth there weight in gold in this situation. Silence is always key but longnets on these Warren's would be hard work and just as noisy once. Too many thorns and bushes to snag nets.

@@reynoldsoutdoors3055 how can you be silent when dogs snorting down holes and scaring the rabbits that what causes them to lie up i have never had problems removing snags or silently puting up a long net most rabbitts bolt before the ferrett gets near them it saves you digging

Mabel, my brindle bitch is one of his litter mates and she was the same too, the prey drive is so high it outshines common sense and obedience at times but in the field they are tenacious as hell! Now that buds back to full fitness we need to get brother and sister out alongside each other!
