well how much clearance does the retainer need to the ID of the spring?

Hi Team, is it true that the Max life for titanium retainers is alroximately 40 - 60,000 kms compared to cromoly being around 100,000 kms in a high performance street set up? Really appreciate your help

This depends on the quality of the valve spring, camshaft lift and rpm.
