***** Ugh. The attitude on here is despicable. They didn't "sell out". They asked for money to keep making fantastic videos. And now people who pay the lousy $4 per month wish them gone. It's absurd. I can't afford a Noble M600, but I don't wish Noble any harm. I cannot believe how nasty people have gotten around them simply asking for an honest living from great work.

BFKModz I'm homeless so i can't, just gave a guy a BJ so I can get the money to spend 20 min on a public Internet shop. I used to watch Drive, but now I can't, cause I also need crack and lots of beer. You super rich people who can afford those 5 bucks are plessed, and I do praise you for being such a successful guy than can really afford 5 bucks A MONTH, and I love how you show us poor punks how damn rich you are. You are right, this has nothing to do with sabotaging the internet or shit like that...paying for Drive+ is about showing the people you made it in life, it's proper 1990ies hip hop Lifestyle, it's about being "alpha", ruling the world. You completly got it.

Cars like these are the only reasons I watch videos. Old school cars will forever capture the heart and if it wasn't for these cars still existing amongst a world full of numb computer cars, I'd have given up on life long ago. Long live the F40s and all true anologue supercars. Thank you EVO !

Even when Chris Harris used to write for Evo magazine, I preferred Catchpole's stuff. I really enjoy his writing style, and he makes it sound like he's so in tune with the cars. Catchpole doesn't always write love sonnets about the cars he drives, but he is very cognizant of all the sensations, and brilliant at describing them. Harris ruined himself for me when he wrote a bunch of articles saying that anything other than RWD was Wrong-Wheel-Drive and drove a Koenigsegg Agera and just complained about how scary it was. His videos were much better, more even than his writing though. But now he's gone for a youtube+ approach, I think it's time to keep enjoying the Catchpole!

Just to say incredible photograph for the article and the stills on the video. Sharp F40 lines against those sinuous alpine passes, fantastic. Also the capturing of the light and colours. Blimming well done considering how little space and time the guyz have to pack in the kit and set up the shots. Still a class production EVO magazine!

  • @BigLukeyBoi

keanehgz the F40 and F50 video cost drive £9000. None of mighty car mods videos would cost a tenth as much. Way lower production costs than Drive. I'm sure they considered other options and knew it was going to be controversial. The people who genuinely enjoyed their content and respect the effort put into it will happily pay the cost of a cup of coffee each month to see it continue and cement its future.

I've put about 5,000 miles on a 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS over the course of 10 years. Many trips being 200 miles round trip. While obviously it's not a F40; it's very similar to an F40 in terms of clutch heaviness, noise, drive ability (no power steering, ABS, airbags) but who cares about all that, it's a Ferrari, & one of the most iconic (F40). I wouldn't expect it to have any of those qualities anyways, that's why the newer Ferrari's don't do much for me. Take it from me, someone lucky enough to work for Ferrari for two years, I've driven every new model up until 2012. It's just not the same experience. Incredible fun but not the same (I don't fear for my life, is what I'm saying)

I've been on all these passes a 100 times in cars (in particular Audi TT RS Sportec, and lately in 997 Turbo Sportec), but I prefer to do this passes on a bike. Susten and Grimsel are my favourites, Furka has bad asphalt and quite dangerous hairpins, especially if one goes downhill from the direction of Grimsel. Another nice pass is Nufenenpass. And, of course, Gotthardpass! Flüelapass is also very beautiful, but again, the asphalt can be quite bad, I was there with the 997T summer 2013, I thought the wheels would fall off...
