I don't deny to you that the Ferrari F333 SP is one of my favourite racing cars and an excellent yellow unit competed at the 2019 Monza Historic by Peter Auto. The famous Barchetta, equipped with the naturally aspirated V12 Formula One engine was piloted by the French crew Michel Lecourt/Raymond Narac. Practically unknown in Europe was designed by Dallara and was presented in 1993. It took to the track the following year with the intent of Ferrari to propose a sports-prototype car to its customers and was deployed in the IMSA championship. This category of vehicles, which saw the Maranello company triumphing for many years even with the latest 312PB, was left by Ferrari in 1973 and 20 years later it reappeared with a new prototype sport, the F333 SP. This car brings together the best in every sector, from the 650 hp V12 engine (derived F1), frame designed by Dallara is a set of honeycomb structure in aluminium and carbon fibre, the body, in carbon fibre, was assembled at the Michelotto Automobili of Padua, all for a weight of only 862 kg. It soon proved to be competitive, and for almost a decade it achieved successes in the most famous endurance competitions including the 24 Hours of Daytona (1998). The record speaks for itself, with 69 pole positions and 56 absolute victories!

Non vi nego che la Ferrari F333 SP è una delle mie vettura da corsa preferite ed uno splendido esemplare giallo ha gareggiato all'edizione 2019 del Monza Historic by Peter Auto. La famosa Barchetta del cavallino, dotata del motore V12 aspirato di Formula Uno è stata pilotata dalla coppia francese Michel Lecourt/Raymond Narac. Praticamente sconosciuta in Europa fu progettata da Dallara e venne presentata nel 1993. Scese in pista l'anno dopo con l'intento della Ferrari di proporre una vettura sport-prototipo ai propri clienti e venne schierata nel campionato IMSA. Questa categoria di vetture, che vide la casa di Maranello trionfare per molti anni anche con l'ultima 312PB venne lasciata dalla Ferrari nel 1973 e ben 20 anni dopo riapparve con una nuova sport-prototipo, appunto la F333 SP. Questa vettura riunisce il meglio in ogni settore, dal motore V12 da 650 CV (di derivazione F1), telaio progettato da Dallara è un insieme di struttura honeycomb in alluminio e fibra di carbonio, la carrozzaria, in fibra di carbonio, fu assemblata presso la Michelotto Automobili di Padova, il tutto per un peso di soli 862 kg. Si rivelò subito competitiva e per quasi un decennio ottenne successi nelle più importanti competizioni di durata fra cui la 24 ore di Daytona (1998). Il suo palmares parla da solo, con 69 pole positions e 56 vittorie assolute!

One of the coolest cars ever for sure! I attempted to watch yesterday's F1 race but slept through the whole thing. An F1 fan since 1973, without that sound I just can't get into it anymore. Might as well watch NAPCAR!

Also, this time, I fully agree with what you say. On the third lap of the F1, I was already sleeping. Deciding that passing in the first position only for a minimum time gap in the pit stop is something ridiculous and mortifying for motorsport. Not to mention the almost total lack of overtaking. Returning to the F333 SP Ferrari, yes, a true masterpiece. I anticipate that the video of another spectacular car will arrive. I'm sure you will like it very much, as I hope everyone who follows this channel will like it.

You are right. Our luck is that there are these beautiful revivals for historic racing cars and we can see them in action and listen to their sound.

Sono daccordo, questa è la massima espressione della Barchetta da corsa. Se solo la Ferrari tornasse nella massima serie delle competizioni Endurance, ha scritto pagine bellissime di storia ma la gente si ricorda sempre e solo della Formula Uno, che per inciso, allo stato attuale sta diventando una gran noia...

No, I don't know the reason, a friend told me that F333 SP had problems. Unfortunately, I had to leave earlier than expected from Monza.
If not mistaken, this is the final chassis ever made and last ever prototype.

@@gianlucar.4428 Eh, mi fai una bella domanda, so che la F333 SP ha poi avuto dei problemi, posso dirti che venerdì, nelle prove, girava come un'orologio ed era intoccabile ed imbattibile, sverniciava ogni auto senza problemi.

Dall'on board della dbr9 si vede che alla prima variante arriva in 5 marcia, forse aveva rapporti da Le Mans; mentre la Ferrari sembrava avere marce cortissime ma non saprei. Bellissimo video come sempre!!

Not quite, the F50 GT seems to have substantially higher pitch and is more rev happy.

@@Italiansupercarvideo it is, and it's such an extreme rarity, only 3 ever made, 1 in Ferrari museum, that leaves only 2 and at least 1 of them is in US. Spotting it somewhere is like winning lottery... 3 times in a row.

E sì, quella è una Supra GT2 del 1994, praticamente un'unicorno in Europa, oltretutto splendida e con dei botti assurdi in cambiata. Ho in programma di fare un video specifico su quell'auto 😉
