Between this song and "Toxic Love", I think this has got to be the most twistedly erotic kids' movie ever made.

I think I figured out what the leeches say. "Floating down the river, like an oyster in a stew! If he's gonna eat somebody-" then the lizard continues.

This song always made me laugh. The giant lizard is all calm and chill and the little human is running like crazy, hilarious.

There are several species of monitor lizards native to Australia, I agree with David in assuming that lace monitor is the most likely identity. However his color pattern doesn't match any living monitor lizard, so it's near impossible to tell what species he is.
