the slow section of the end lap in old magny cours was amazing. You can do a partial good lap but if you end at the final section you lose all the time advantage on lap.

Nope, 05 was the last year of v10, v8 came in 06.

C3lloman it's a mistake in the title this is an onboard from 2006 you can hear Brundle saying minimize the traction control which was introduced in 2006.

@@noxvi4753 traction control was reintroduced in 2001 at the Spanish gp This is definitely from magny cours 2005

Raikkonen was one tenth slower with 9 laps more fuel onboard. So Kimi was basically 8 tenths faster fuel adjusted. That's the real pole lap.

Kimi’s car was 8 tenths faster. Probably 1 second. This is the real pole lap. Go cry somewhere else.

@@animal_blundetto No. Kimi was over a second faster than the other McLaren driver. Kimi was just faster than any other driver on the planet in this era. A monster. Alonso was a nobody who lucked into this title having lost to Trulli the year before. Kimi and Michael, a cut above. Fernando peaked at Ferrari not Renault.

@@ciaronsmith4995 The guy lost by a point when Trulli was sacked. Trulli was at his absolute best. Alonso could only be comprable to Max in 16/17 at that point. Saying Alonso is a nobody is very fucking dumb. Although, yeah we saw the absolute best of him at Ferrari no doubt. He fought harder there than he had to fight Michael and Kimi on track. And 07 was more political warfare than road racing warfare.

According to your logic jarno trulli would, could and should outpace raikkonen if you so adamantly believe he had the edge over a alonso that had two full years in a top team compared to his own 7 years all around the grid up to that point. It's just a ridiculous statement really. Especially considering the fact how he so handily bested him the previous year.
