90's X Force were not big on good storytelling, more's the pity. I think it says a great deal that characters like Cable and Deadpool have been fleshed out and redeemed in the following decades as to how, with a little bit of thought, some really good stories could have been told back in the day. Heck, even with this one, if someone had bothered to conceive a reason as to why Cable had no other choice but to leave Feral looking after Gyrich alone, you have a set-up for some great exploration of the conflict between the two character's perspectives, the validity of Xavier's Dream, etc. But no, this is '90s action comics, we're all about ridiculous proportions, spectacle and being 'edgy'. We're too busing drawing pouches on everything to bother with things like 'context' and 'plots that make sense'. *sigh*
