Picked up my TMP yesterday. Updated firmware, connected to a Spark CAB, and was scrolling through default presets within 10 minutes. I’m blown away. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed and I have struggled getting dialed in with my Boss Katana Artist mark II. With the TMP there is no struggle. Today I’m going to experiment with running output 1 to the Spark CAB and output 2 to the power amp section of the Katana, Fender Hot Rod Deville, and some other amps. The TMP is by far the best piece of gear I’ve purchased in a long time. I consult Doug’s Digital Den for clear, concise instruction. Thank you Doug. Peace! Kevin

The 62 Princeton amp that they added was exactly what I wanted. I have that Chris Stapleton sound now(minus is touch and playing). Fender has really raised the bar with this update. I hope people realize how great this device is. The UI itself is better than any other on the market.

I bought my TMP and FR12 last Christmas and it started out kind of rough with the FR12 hiss issue and the high gain amp issues on the TMP. But I must say Fender has really turned things around with the high gain amps and they recently fixed the hiss my FR12 was having. I feel this latest update has really turned the corner for Fender and I’m really excited for what’s to come in future updates. And I love the info I get from your updates Doug. You and the TGP forum are my go to places for all things TMP. Thank you!

I own a TMP, and I gotta say I love the new firmware update. I especially love that we can now save presets for each thing. The one thing I would love is if we could assign those presets to a footswitch, like a clean and gain setting for amps, or delay repeats. Right now the only way I have it set up is to set the footswitch to adjust all the settings but you have to program those individually and man would it be easier just to select presets. I havent figured out yet how to do it so please by all means correct me if it is possible.

One thing I was hoping for was spillover for the tuner, playing live if you need to tune quick it mutes completely making it awkward during a performance. Spillover on the tuner is so needed!!

Digging the BiBi Crunch, and the Clean Wholesome was pretty cool. Could do without all the Heavy Metal tones for my work, but definitely a wonderful update. Hopefully they'll pull in something a little more country, or Jerry Garcia in vibes. I feel like this upgrade really had some things that were meant for my guitar.

I'm guessing that Fender is trying to attract a diverse group to the TMP camp. I'm not a metal fan either, but a lot of the younger guys are, so I understand their reasoning. However, one of the presets that I've been thinking about making is a Jerry rig. I think that's possible now.

I had this happen when trying to connect to the app when I got my unit. I believe it’s because the firmware didn’t match the app version. To fix it I updated the firmware to the latest version and then it connected flawlessly

That's a great idea, but unfortunately I can't make it as I don't have an amp head. However, I do know that 4CM and MIDI control are two complete different things that aren't really related to each other.

@@DougBsDigitalDen I understand they are not related. Just giving an example if using the TMP for effects only and an amp for tone. Wanting to control amp channels from midi on TMP. Can you borrow an amp to demonstrate this??

No; I'd have to buy and then return an amp from Sweetwater or MF. However, I did make a MIDI video that shows the TMP controlling my ToneX pedal. It's the same MIDI concepts that you're looking for. I'll see what I can do about 4CM. Here's the link for my MIDI vid: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6iXwZlpaK25gs4.htmlsi=8gTe0YlMHNEDZMhd
