Fender Telecaster FMT HH a Tone Machine

Музыка

HIGH-END TELE® STYLE AND POWER
An exquisite high-end Telecaster experience awaits the player who gets his hands on a Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH. First, it looks phenomenal, with a carved flame maple top on a mahogany body, cream body binding, a gorgeous Amber finish with a matching headstock, a mahogany set neck, abalone dot fingerboard inlays and black hardware. Second, it sounds phenomenal, with dual Seymour Duncan® humbucking pickups, three-way pickup switching, a push/pull coil tap switch built into the master tone control knob, and more. A decidedly non-traditional Telecaster of peerlessly crafted style and powerful sonic substance. #Fender #Telecaster #AlanSamsMusic

These are made at the Cor-tec [Cort] Surabaya Factory in Indonesia, the same factory that makes PRS, Chapman and others , they are renowned for high quality and superb finishes on their Guitars, and have around 30 years experience behind them. The instruments are handmade by skilled artisans, the way USA manufactureres can no longer afford to.

If I could pay $1000 for a handmade guitar made in Indonesia or $2000 for a handmade guitar made in the US, I would choose to support US workers.

As you note Alan, Fender do not have a factory in Indonesia, so this guitar will be a licensed build by likely either Cort or Samick. Not a bad thing at all when you consider the quality of guitars those factories are turning out at the moment. I was thinking particularly of the inspired by and Masterbilt Epiphones. I like the inclusion of the more modern set and bound neck and the SD humbucking pickup features. I also like the fact that the top is a full maple cap and not a veneer. As you also rightly note Alan these would be custom shop features if the guitar was a US Fender factory build. What a great time to live, if you are a guitar addict with so many great value well built guitars available from numerous different factories and sources.

@@bysykler4959 It just doesn't have them, comes with non-locking tuners. Which is a shame because they come in a gorgeous dark chrome finish, which I can't find the Fender locking ones in (I own an FMT, it's even prettier in person with all that dark chrome)

Manufacturing in Indonesia might also help due to it being Mahogany, it's an endangered species of tree that is cultivated in South Asia for lumbering and needs special permits to ship and sell unless it's already in a finished guitar.

I have this guitar in a blackberry/purple flame top...it's an unusual color. Question: the pickups look exactly like the standard Seymour Duncans, but they don't have the SD name printed on the bottom of each. Is this unusual ? How can I confirm if the pickups are SD's or a lookalike ?

I have a red 2021 made version of this guitar, amazing value for money ! I had one issue only , the high E string is sliding off the fret board when I bend or hammer on. Anyone else had this issue and any reco? For now, I moved up the saddle a little bit to improve the high E string’s distance to the border of fret board.

Thank you for watching the video. I have not had that problem. If this was a bolt on neck I would suggest a slight adjustment of the neck. You may want to take it to a luthier. Wish I had a better suggestion.

Is the nut cut correctly? High E string? That would be the thicker of the 2 E strings. Correct?

Hi. I'm wondering if you can say a few words about the neck shape (is it super-flat like Ibanez or more Fender "C", etc.) and also about the feel of playing a fretboard radius of 15.75? I'm used to 9.5 on Feners and 12 on Gibsons. I"m wondering if it would feel completely alien to me. Thanks in advance for any reply and thank you for this great demo. Cheers. 👍✌

Hi David thank you for watching the video. I've owned and played several different Fender Teles over the years. Fender describes the neck profile as a "C" shaped neck. It's not as rounded as a traditional C it's flatter on the back. Not a shredder neck like an Ibanez but not too far removed from that. It's a really comfortable neck and fingerboard combo. The playability and the fret work is excellent. Thanks Again for Watching
