Did you get 2 because you couldn't pick one? i picked the Amber in the end but don't feel like it was a better or worse choice over the burst. Crimson was an easy 3rd

@rikashay07 I generally like to have a backup just in case. That way if something goes wrong, my sound doesn't change that much. :)

I *just* purchased a Musicman Sabre this past week - it's the PERFECT guitar... but to my surprise, my two Fender Special Edition models still play and feel so amazing, and I still love those so much. The amber one (to my ears) is the bluesiest of all three. The Fenders are definite keepers for sure.

I had one couple years after they came out. I liked it alot. It played very well but I found that I liked a lp style a bit more so I traded it for a epiphone pro 2 with the classic super humbuckers. The epi just felt better. Not knocking the fmt but sound wasn't what it wanted when I got it.

I almost got one, but it had some finish issues. They are nice and light. Super light. They don't sound like a tele, but they are cool. I just wanted a proper tele and got the modified 50's vintera.

By the way, you don't notice pickup differences as much on saturated sounds. Clean things up if you want to really hear the difference between humbuckers and split coils.

I have the Amber version of this and the build quality and finish is sublime. I needed something that was more comfortable to play reclining on the sofa than my Gibson Classic 60’s, and it certainly fits the bill in terms of comfort and weight. However, I’m still to be as impressed by this tone-wise compared to the Gibson. I love it though, but it’s deffo not as interchangeable with the Les Paul as some other reviews have stated.

Not "interchangeable", no... but... the closest I've been able to get to a Les Paulish sound with a Fenderish feel

Yeah I can’t say it sounds too close to a Les Paul but I atttribute a lot of that to the Fender scale

@@GearGasmsyeah it could well be that. I honestly prefer the Gibson scale to Fender, but I seem to own far more Fenders than Gibsons. There’s a part of me toying with the idea of swapping the pickups between the FMT and the LP, but only the LP’s are quick connect so I’d have to solder some stuff..and I don’t think over soldered anything since I was a kid.

I own one. Pickups are hot, even compared my LP! I played 1 gig with it and it’s set in the case since. $1,000 sitting in a closet!!! Keep going with my squire Tele HH semi hollow. What am I missing here???

That depends? What didn’t you like about it? I can see how it’s a confusing identity. It’s trying to be more than one thing and I’m not sure it wholly succeeds but at the same time plays and sounds great

It looks and sounds good. But I'm not sold on 15.75 fretboard radius. It may as well be a 2x4 😂

@@GearGasms 9.5 is my fav radius, although I have many different ones in my herd except 7.25. which I have no interest in. The flattest I like is 13.75 = SX guitars. What's your fav type of electric? Mine is Strats. I can't remember how many I have, 30-33, I'd have to do a head count lol. I have Stratitus 😂
