Gretsch drum kit in the back. Very tongue-in-cheek humor there, Fender.

The Telecaster is the reigning king of electric guitars.
What is amazing about this video is the quality of the information but what it proves is that Leo Fender got it right 70 plus years ago and not a whole lot has changed really .
the telecaster/broadcaster design is the most beautiful design Ive ever seen in a guitar, mostly because of its simplicity. That isnt to say I dont absolutely love a PRS wood library, but the tele just looks godlike
@teleguy5699

Can't argue with simple artistic beauty.
The guitar sounds great and that blend feature opens up plenty of unique sonic possibilities. Love it!
I could listen to this guy all day.
The Broadcasters have outlived most of their original owners. There isn't many made products you can say that about.
I just love to hear Mike play. To me, that’s the real deal.
Why on earth would you get this guitar just to put modern wiring in it??? The vintage Broadcaster circuit is the coolest part about this guitar!!!

Man... I really like that blend knob. Super cool. Great story, too.
YES! Love that blackguard sound!
I was fortunate to have a really awesome year at work financially this last year and was able to treat myself to one of these in January. It's the heavy relic version and I have to say it's perfection in my hands. I have 13 other guitars, six of them are Telecasters, most I've owned for a good number of years, this one is the only one I'm playing currently. I thought I'd probably switch the control plate to the Tele version pretty quickly, but honestly, I love the blend knob function and the tones I get using just it and the bridge pickup, I'm going to just leave it as is. The tones of the two neck positions have a lot more contrast then you would think and the small tweaks they added in comparison to the original gives you more versatility than the original dark tone of the forward position. I could go on and on, I'll just say, it's not just another Tele, it has a distinct tone of it's own, and its a freaking awesome instrument, if you can swing it financially. it's worth the price tag!

@@theflamerising1767 It's chunky, but its not like the huge baseball bat necks found on some of the early black guards. My hands are pretty large, but my buddy has smaller hands and he was able to play it comfortably. Hope that helps
Very well presented Fender. And that tone is amazing. Really helps when you have someone who can play doing the demo

I think thats quite amazing that you could blend in the kneck pick up like that. Leo was a damn genius!!
One of the best rewievs on youtube for sure! Great!
Okay! I bought the guitar and damned if I can put it down!!!!!! I got the Time Capsule one and my God! What a beauty! I thought that I would take the pick guard off and underneath, if you shine the light just so, you can see that it was stamped “RELIC”! Lol I guess I saved it? Anyway, I couldn’t be happier with a guitar! Thank you! I guess mine was a “Team Build” job. Amazing guitar. Light too!
My dream is to have a guitar like that, because of Mike Campbell, who plays a lot with his Broadcaster. Only the Fender Custom Shop can make my dream come true, as I can't afford to buy the guitar.
The original and best. Now if only I could afford it...

Bring that to 🇵🇭 12 months installment!!
Wish they gave neck parameter options on these. Neck just a bit to small. Beautiful sound.
Had a bad breakup after college, sold my '54 Strat for a ticket and a stake, flew to the Virgin Islands with no guitar, tool belt and a knapsack....walkin' around, sitting in a pawn shop window... a nice ol' Esquire.

The "lip" shown at 4:27 on an original Broadcaster, that little shelf under the neck, is not duplicated in this Broadcaster reissue. That lip was found on Broadcasters and Nocasters, but by the time of the Telecaster it had been evened up so it looked flush.

Pretty nice very solid guitar! I would like to see the wiring diagram.
I can only hope this means we will finally get a blackguard, butterscotch blonde Esquire at Summer NAMM.
Interestingly enough , Ron Thorn-the principal master builder at the Fender Custom Shop- his number one is a Squier strat. I think that is pretty awesome and a statement regarding gear in general.
Telecaster very top guitar ❤️❤️❤️
Great demo of the tones, just what we purists want to hear but seldom get.
I want one more than anything
Dear Fender, With Christmas coming up an' all.. Any chance of us mere mortals getting this special vintage wiring in a Classic Vibe version..? (Well, it was worth a shot...) Love what you guys are producing, major Fender fan here.. Keep it up and take care!
I've chosen to build myself one as a homage to Leo. Top notch components (body, my choice of neck carve, frets and radius, all licensed by Fender, pickups, electronics, bridge, saddles, bone nut): my own iteration... with a blender, cap and out of phase position, but without the logo ;-)
That "2 piece ash body" flashed up there suspiciously quick. lol This sounds great!
BWAHAHHAHAA THE GRETSCH IN THE BACK!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t know why that tone has been forgotten, because it’s the tone I’ve been looking for. My local store has a heavy relic left, at a major price, and my trigger finger is itching. This could be my forever electric . . .

Man that e will give me issues with the narrow nut. I know this is my lack of experience and or control. It's great until I get into it and vibrato the e fretted notes. I am learning to use upward more motions but ...I still prefer they keep the 42 mm
Correction, radio was the predominant form of entertainment, but television had been in operation since 1928. The ever increasing popularity of TV in the late '40s and early '50s soon overtook radio and was certainly serendipitous as it afforded the latest in electrical transmission jargon, A.K.A. the "Telecast".
OK, Fender, how about a NOS stock Esquire similar to the Jeff Beck played with the Yardbirds.
Just got mine and instead of a complete extra control pannel I got a bag with a tiny resister in it.
Nice, thanks..

Are the pickups shielded?
Are the 50-51 pickups available on their own? I haven't been able to find them unless they've been removed from the guitar.
i played one of those and the frets were very high and it had a really weird bass circut on the neck pickup and i didnt want to carry a 2500 dollar guitar around, flying on airlines in an anvil shipping case--alot of guitars came up missing in la guardia and j.k.k--but in 1976-77 that was the price for a broadcaster-- of course know its much more
