48mm neck pickup, 50mm middle pickup, and 52mm bridge pickup sizes will get the best fit for single coil pickup covers. I found out the hard way, with a bunch of plastic laying around the house.

Hey thanks for the comment. Yeah that may be why these covers are different sizes, but the pole spacing on these 3 pickups are identical, which is what I thought I had ordered for covers🤔. 3 of the same, but apparently not hahaha

What a great job, J! Such an amazing guitar to begin with and to restore it to glory is cool to the max! You looked like you liked it Big Time! Btw, the Godin tuners are 14:1 ratio, like someGibson models.

I must admit, that black hardware does look good here! I can also picture WHITE hardware on a BLACK 3-ply pickguard looking good too, almost like a tuxedo guitar. Monoprice even has an HSS Strat-style model like this, if you want to see the concept in pictures. I totally agree that someone clearly worked on that old nut at one point, and did a really poor job of it, too. That old pickguard also looks REALLY flimsy, the way you were able to bend it that way… I have a feeling it was probably NOT original to the guitar-I can’t believe that Fender Japan would put such a cheap, flimsy pickguard like that on a guitar that really seems to have such attention to detail in so many other ways! That 7.25” radius is probably also pretty different from what you’re used to on your Asian guitars, isn’t it?!? I have a Mexican-made Squier Precision Bass, and it’s the ONLY true 7.25” radius fretboard guitar I have. BTW, regarding the pickups: I’m not sure what source you used for those covers, but vintage Strats usually have the same pole spacing on all 3, while some more modern Fenders and clones have different pole spreads on each, especially on the bridge pickup, since the angle it’s mounted at, in addition to changing the pole position along the string, effectively also reduces the pole spread… I even have a kit guitar here where some of the pole pieces on some of the pickups don’t align perfectly with the strings, and that’s right out of the box, NO mods made by me! Bottom line: It’s always a good idea to confirm the pole spacing before ordering things like covers. Overall REALLY nice job, J-MAN!

Cool thanks man! 100% on all fronts! Yeah the pick up covers I ordered according to the description were the right spacing which is why I ordered them. It did not show different spacing for each cover 🤔. Anyway no big deal, it all worked out😎🤘

@@j-man9457 Incidentally, I see that Westcreek has a couple of new HSS Strat-style models with some pretty wild and unusual styling! Makes me wonder if they’ll have some Tele-style models soon… 🧐

@@j-man9457 Cool! They must really like your reviews and feedback! I’d somehow be very surprised if they actually made some Fender clones that weren’t 25.5” scales, but I guess it’s possible. I’d love to see the Victorian-style Strat-I personally think that one is the more attractive of the two that I see listed on Amazon right now, although both of them look like really cool designs-they are clearly aiming for something a bit more original, which is really cool! BTW, you might be interested in Havok Guitars necks, too-they are apparently Canadian made!
