FENCING THE HILL FIELD - Tom's tractor making it look EASY! 🚜
Back on the fencing. Next field that needs some attention is the hill field. It's fenced on two sides but only hedges along the rest so a little risky with the sheep. The temporary netting has worked well while the rams area work but looking forward to getting it strained asap.

Tim and Tom fencing. Love your work 👍
Really loving the progress u guys are making. Can’t wait for the next vid 👍
Hi all never a dull moment , as a cousin to a late dairy farmer and the nephew of a long departed uncle a farm manager . I fully understand the commitment you have taken on . The land of this nation is our safeguard to our uncertain future. Thanks to good people as your selves , we may as a country realise how important the work and others like you do . God bless you all . Best wishes and kind regards as always . 👍👍👍
Nice work on the fence posts. That wire fencing... Would have bee better if you just ran a top wire and hung the fencing off that. As it is now once the hedge has gotten hold of it you will have "great fun" getting the fence untangled.
👍
Oh no! I didn’t want to laugh during this video, it’s failed! 😁
What material are those fence posts? They look as if they have been treated but not sure. Are they Robinia? if so how does the cost compare with treated softwood?

That field was creosote. They are better and also slower grown timber but I have changed to robinia for the rest of the farm especially as much of it is by water.
How do you plan on cutting the hedge with a fence and posts in front of it? Are you going to let the hedge thicken out to the fence line?

Yeah flush with fence then leave the sheep and goats to it. We will top the hedge after. That’s the plan at least.

How t’hell did you provisionally drop off and plant 100 fence posts without hitting a rock is beyond me🤷♂️! I’m on my 2nd and 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬!

Time of year helped but thankfully no rocks other than the hardcore by gate which slowed us down.
