The reality is though it's not actually about the ability to compete or fairness, it's about pushing the belief that there is no difference between the sexes (i.e you can magically transition and be exactly the same as a biological woman) which is factually and unequivocally false. You don't get to cry about something being unfair when you as an individual follow an ideology which couldn't care less about what's fair to other groups. It's not a "human right" to take part in a sports group that wasn't designed for you, we separated sport on sex a while back and for reasons which relate to physical safety. If they wanted an actual solution they would accept a 3rd sporting league but of course they won't willingly as there would be next to zero attention with it and wouldn't be a worldwide league as most countries don't buy into gender ideology - so it's not about the ability to compete, but the money they can make by having an unfair advantage whether they want to admit that or not.

The look on the poor girl on the mat was heartbreaking, the same face i have seen on a domestic violence victim after being bashed. Something very wrong here. He can't compete at an elite level, because he can't cheat now,in the USA a women's basketball team played another team with 5 guys, saying they were women, and near broke a girls back,at the end the women were terrified as they were actually getting really hurt,so a team of 6 had 5 guys playing, they set a trans team up for something and not one trans person entered, because they would all be men and couldn't get the advantage if it had off been women,so it says what we are all saying, have your trans team, don't cheat in the womans sport 💯

Female hormone levels negate most any competitive advantage. That’s why there should be an open ( male, female or whatever you think you are), male and female. A male (man) are stronger and their weight is distributed differently to that of a female (woman). If they don’t go through puberty then that is different but even still they should be in the open category as we don’t really understand if there is a difference at the moment. This is looking likely to end women’s sports and women participation in sports of any kind. I have given up watching or taking any notice of any sport anymore, and my business doesn’t sponsor any sports events anymore. This is the effect.

Science and medicine prove it. Chromosomes give you no advantage, especially when transitioning early in life without undergoing any puberty at all.

She 🏳️‍⚧️⚧️♀️will not be competitive against men, because she's not a man. With testosterone levels 30-60ng/DL there's not much you can do trying to compete against those with 500-1000+. Going through the several years of mandatory hormone therapy (respective guidelines of each sport) won't leave much strength at 300-800pmol/L of estrogen. Been there, done that. 😊

@@alli3219 Women who have been given a lot of testosterone can be uncompetitive in low level male/open competitions if they want. They have no top level competitions available to them unless they create their own. Just because they can't compete against women doesn't mean men can. Women with additional testosterone has been tested in sport already by the East Germans. They won a lot of medals. It's now regarded as an infamous era of drug cheating.

You may only change your gender once you reach mature years, by which time your adult male muscular signature has been formed. It is outrageous, therefore, not to mention discriminatory, for a woman to be booted out of a women's team and replaced by a biological male. Bridges should understand that it is not about him, it's about the integrity of women's sport.

Her... Puberty blockers can be administered from before puberty, and at around 16, hormones can be administered, so more than a few young trans people have actually NEVER undergone puberty. Even if transitioning later, there won't be much left of a "male muscular signature" once a year or two on feminising hormones have been administered under strict supervision as per guidelines.

Soon after Bridges decided to put on some lipstick and a dress, he took part in a women's race. He had three mechanicals, each time losing a lap to the field and had to catch up. He still won by a lap. A friend of mine watched the race and him and his son were just standing there open mouthed. It was a complete joke.

I recommend the report. Very interesting reading. Actually made me understand my own hatred of sports. Our sports were mixed and I hated it. I gave up judo because I got thrown around the mat like a ragdoll by boys. Cricket, rounders. Eye opening. I hadn't realised, just thought I was terrible at sports.

very easy to solve in my opinion, why not have transgender cycling or whatever sport it is

Because it is all about the narcissism of being in the women's category. They had a trans category for Olympic swimming and didn't get a single application.

Most amateur sports run on a shoestring, volunteers, and donations, just defending against a lawsuit would shut them down. Any judgment against them would definitely close the club down.

So either women are excluded by the male playing in their category and relegating them to, at best 2nd and 3rd place... or they don't play at all...the result is the same..women lose....essentially purdah without the clothing

They are crybullys. If they can't have what they want, then nobody will have it. Confrontation and intimidation, they will destroy your reputation, your organization, they will take your job, all while screaming they are being victimized. Closing the club down is probably what would happen anyway if a bio-male was allowed to join the females' team because parents won't let their daughters' safety be put at risk and adult females would boycott the club.

*It's an incredibly scary time to identify as a bank robber because they will arrest us and take the money back that we so rightly earned!*

Easy to say. And necessary. But heartbreaking to the generation of female athletes who are watching their chances go down the tubes if they boycott. (Plus the social stigma that schools and other teams place on women who protest this!)

The last thirty years Billions of dollars have been spent on lifting up womens sports. Now a few million are being spent on breaking it down. And I give it 3 years before the fad is over. It's a fad to be trans today, A life decision needs to be made by someone who has life experience. And on average a human being will only gain full cognitive reasoning a the age of 25 years old.

It is not only unfair, its basically wrong at all levels because Sport has always been about biological sex at conception . It is not possible to change biological sex and even if it were posible, it would be ethically and morally wrong. Worse, while some Sports at "elite level' are now recognising this, thanks to the likes of Sharron Davies, some sports, like Swimming are now allowing young people to self identify at competitions that are at "non" accredited level. This means they are condoning and accepting the teaching of young people that you can change sex. In many case girls at a young age are faster than boys as girls develop earlier than boys. this is totally wrong and unfair both to girls, but more over BOYS. So much about Equality and Inclusivity, particularly when sports like swimming are harder to interest boys in. No one should self identify biological sex.

The whole world has turned into a live action south park episode. Its getting ridiculous and a bit scary to be honest.

No, i think you did. Dont get started with xxy. People with all sorts of chromosomal abberations are still either male or female. And those cases are rare.

I feel his pain as I’ve just lost my third appeal in Strasbourg to race in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. I’m a trans filly and horse gender is a stable construct and can be different to what foals are assigned at birth.

This should not happen. People taking advantage.

Physical sports is about physical bodies, inherent strength and safety...not identities. It's as simple as that. That's why there are male and female categories.

It must be so unfair after you’ve literally worked your balls off to get there....!

Can we just keep sports based on biological sex and not gender. Once upon a time they had the same meaning, but now gender implies something very different considering there seems to be an unlimited number of them that you can just make up and identify as whenever you want.

The first I heard of this madness was quite a few years ago concerning a female USA track team runner who was ranked 3rd but who missed out on her first international event because a woman with testicals had arrived on the scene and got himself ranked 1st. They could only take 3 runners, so she got dropped. She recounted all the years she'd been getting up and training before school and the things she'd forfeited to get to where she was. I remember thinking, 'only in America.' 🤔

In America, three girls were hurt in a basketball game when a man dressed as a woman joined the team The team was so spooked at the injuries they gave up by halftime.

The fair and simple way do do this is to go on Chromosomes if you are XY then you compete in the male category or mixed category. If you are XX then you are eligible to compete in the womens category or mixed category. End of story.

What a direct and reasoned argument against this issue. Well done to you. If trans want to compete then have a trans group, I would bet that it would not be well supported .

If i had trained all my life to compete in womens sports, as a natural born woman then a man whos decided hes a woman comes along and took the trophy i would be very upset and angry and i wouldnt want to share a changing room either

Ridiculous and tiresome hyperbole from Bridges once again. Claims he doesn’t ’feel safe’ in the open category but was perfectly fine competing with the same men in that category 5 minutes ago, and by the same logic how does he expect women to ‘feel safe’ with him in their category? Sport should be safe, fair and only once those criteria are satisfied can we think about inclusion.

Now more than ever womens rights must be defended.
