I believe the mounted guard on the left would be very surprised to discover that he's a female.
1 - no horse is getting "spooked", being a bit ansty for a few seconds that's all. 2, the rider isn't female and the soldier that pulls it back into line is. 3- you try dressage moves with reins in one hand and sword at attention in the other. 4 - what on earth does the sex of the soldier have to do with it? Women are known to be excellent with horses - they seem to have a knack of dealing with large hairy beasts who won't do as they are told - until you tell them.
Control of a horse has nothing to do with the rider being male or female infact strength has little to do with the riders strength
