Feet of Flames Taiwan: Planet Ireland Press Performance

A full-blown #FeetOfFlames tour usually has at least two weeks of group rehearsal before being seen by the public. In Taiwan 2020, Team Lord had barely more than two days.
Compounding things further: those two days came after two weeks of quarantine in hotel rooms, which in turn came after nine months of inactivity. And this was a troupe that was more than fifty-percent new.
There's a reason why we here at #LordOfTheDance call this The Impossible Tour.
A major test came on the second day of rehearsals, when Team Lord was scheduled to perform for the Taiwanese press. There was no margin for error here; if anyone slipped up, it would be seen on camera, transmitted across all of Taiwan to potential ticket purchasers, and immortalized on the internet. #FeetOfFlames is the commercial flagship of #IrishDancing: it's the show Michael Flatley built to sell out stadiums.
This could have easily been a disaster. But these were the greatest #IrishDance pros in the world, who'd trained literally their entire lives to able to do what they love, and now they had to carry the flag for the entire industry.
As all great champions do, they rose to the moment.
Led from the front by Team Lord Creative Director James Keegan, this is a video of the first full-throttle start-to-finish performance of Planet Ireland by the Lord of the Dance All-Star Troupe. With the cameras rolling and the press watching, they stepped into history -- and the Impossible Tour was born.

Some how their dancing simply brought tears of joy to my eyes. Soooo lovely to watch them. I have learnt kathak , an Indian dance classical dance form. This is truly amazing. Love you from India.
Seeing this makes me wish I hadn't quit dance lessons. But it just warms my Celtic heart that Irish dance embraced worldwide 🥰
I love James Keegan. He reminds me so much of Michael. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful!!! And so good to see their faces! I saw Michael dance years ago in California. His energy nearly blew the roof off the building. It was a great show!
I also love that everyone is smiling and having fun, it makes all the difference in a show, this is my favorite, I watch it over and over 💃❣️
It never gets old! I could watch a performance every day, and still be happy and smiling!!

I love this! It is so different from classical, well, ball room dancing lol. So much rhythm and togetherness and FUN. It is a marvel; I just love it. My old legs couldn't do such a thing. But my Mom tap danced her legs off!
I really do love this dancing and Irish is in my DNA. My people!💯
I have tickets for this Friday and I cried just watching this, I'm gonna be an absolute mess! Waited sooooo long to see this live, so so so excited!

We use the same exact track at my studio, and we don’t nearly do as many steps! Such talented performers, and you can clearly tell they’re having fun ❤️

What a great synchronization, great condition. My buddy showed me Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames, I was blown away. He said: "You will never forget this atmosphere when you are there live, there is no comparison when you watch it on video or watch it live" What also fascinates me is that an old Irish legend "good forces against evil forces" is being retold. I still find the appearance of the little good angel in Lord of the Dance very touching today. Pure goosebumps :-)

I know it’s been 2 years but I wanted to tell you that coordination and dance are things that can be achieved by anyone with enough practice. Do not be afraid of being uncoordinated, because I can assure you none of the dancers in this video started out with the coordination they have now. If you feel passionately about something you should always pursue it, even if it’s just casually or as a hobby.
