Sam, I'm sorry you have been feeling so overwhelmed. I can only imagine what you are going through! Having to move out from your old apartment to your new one all on your own. Cleaning, getting organized, traveling back and forth, working, and still taking care of your YT channel and of your precious fur baby and yourself! Girl! Anyone in your shoes would have probably had a mental breakdown on the 1st day! You are doing so much it is only natural for you to want to vent and even to let it out by crying! I know I do! My favorite time to do that is when I'm driving (thank God I have super dark tinted windows! lol!) But, I do! I pray and I cry and before you know it I'm all cried out and I feel an overwhelming peace in my heart. I will be praying for you mamas

Lol thank you. I always have my group chats muted, because I can't stand when my phone goes off a hundred times in a row, but this one was a direct text and it's been an ongoing thing that frustrates the hell out of me. I really want to share the tea, but let's just say, I won't for right now... but when you see me announce a big change eventually, it'll all make sense ;)

I love dimmable light bulbs!! I've been replacing every regular light bulb with one! It makes a really big difference since I get stimulation overload with lights very easily. It's a quick fix that makes a BIG difference

You are incredibly inspirational as an entrepreneur and an overall good person. I've been through my own personal struggles and lost some family in the last few years and watching you as well as a handful of other wonderful people on KZread I've found inspiration for my own goals and look forward to my future starting some new activities as well. This was perfect timing then!

I recently bought some smart bulbs too bc it is known that red light helps to secrete melatonin, the hormone responsible for sleep and it doesn’t disrupt your sleep either. They’re great and I love them. Glad you got some.

I always remember to remind my stylists to do before and after pictures so they don't forget.

You could get one of the Edison style bulbs for that lamp and it would look really pretty.

Just make sure you get the same brand bulb in the different size so it all can be on the same app. I got mine at target and they're regular bulb size. I have the same app and control my 2 lamps together. I still dont do voice control anything and dont have an alexa. So fun!

They're different brands, but both are synced with my Alexa, so they're connected that way. It is fun! :) I love all of the different color options!

I think as women we often get down on ourselves for not being balanced 24/7, but the reality is our bodies aren’t wired that way! Hormones/periods make stress like 10X & it’s normal & it passes 💛 I really related to you when you broke down, so just a reminder that we ARE doing our best and we SHOULD have things under control MOST of the time, not all of the time

Once again feeling so connected to you. Haha Just moved back from L.A., taking clients a couple of days pr week and now decorating our house from the ground up. Love watching your vlogs for inspo to keep going hahah 🥰

@@styledbysamvay i also worked as a senior stylist in 3 salons for 13yrs n its a hard industry to be in,it can be extremely rewardin but also massively toxic,i went thru MORE than a single persons fair share,felt i took the brunt for every1 n it gets suffocatin n overwhelming n i feel ur hurt when u got upset,you are honestly doin fantasticly tho for such a young woman and you should be extremely proud of everything you've accomplished...xx

Now that you are done with the moving do you think it wouldve been better to hire a moving company and pay that with the money you paid for that extra month on both places? Or do you recommend having a full month to move slowly?

I didn't choose to have an extra month on purpose, but I did like how it worked out. I've never hired professional movers, so I can't say which would be better or easier. But I will say.. I can be kind of a control freak with certain things, so I do like doing it all on my own.

I feel like this would be way less overwhelming if you didn’t drag it out for a month straight. Like just rent a u-haul and get it over with. Then you wouldn’t be sleeping on an air mattress running back and forth everywhere for a month

Lol it's not just the moving itself that has been stressing me out. It's other behind-the-scenes things, and I know it wasn't very clear because there's things I don't feel would be appropriate to talk about online right now. I honestly have been enjoying taking my time and doing it in stages, because I've been able to unpack and organize as I go, which *for me* is a lot less overwhelming than doing it all in one shot.

I would not be decorating I would have just got a U-Haul filled that thing up and unpacked everything in that spare room you have, then go through it and then start to decorate… I’m just confused.

He's 10 hours away and is in school full time Monday-Friday. If he was in a position where he *could* be here, trust me, he would. But it's really not worth him buying an expensive plane ticket, just so he can be here for 24 hours. We wouldn't be able to get much done in that time, and I would much rather do it by myself anyway. The overwhelm and frustration I was feeling was related to specific people/situations on top of everything else, so him helping with moving stuff wouldn't have changed that. I just don't feel like it's appropriate to share specifics just yet, because some of it is work related.

the salon drama… i couldn’t handle it anymore. get a suite!!!!!! best decision i ever made 🤍🤍
