Oh god, I have dealt with this sort of crap before where I used to work. It's usually just the trashy girls trying to start stuff with the quiet, serious one because they are jealous of their work ethic for some reason. 🙃 I just don't talk to anyone anymore unless I need to, and everyone thinks I am a snob, oh well.

I hate going to salons. I always feel like I don't belong there. Like I'm entering a world that will never accept me.
I just wanted a little face framing but the hairdresser gave me so many thick pokey layers. I couldn’t even get up and leave he was like I’m not done yet 😣 he used so much vertical cutting and the front pieces poke me if I didn’t put them behind my ears they also look uneven and the back isnt good. He also didn’t measure he just chopped of way more than we agreed do free hand in two bunches! :( hairdressers should be taught simple is best, classy is best, no big changes unless told. I literally escaped the hair thinning scissors. My best hair cuts were 30 min or less. I will certainly trim my hair at home from now on.

Hey Sam, I have a request. Next time you are lightening your hair or doing a lightening tutorial, could you show us how you touch up your hair with foils without overlapping previously lightened hair? Every video I watch the hairdresser says "don't highlight previously highlighted hair" in their voiceover... whilst clearly painting over old highlights. Me is confused 🤷🤣

Please help. So i accidents melted a peice of my hair from heat. Its so small of a peice u cant even see if but my ends are split and everything else. I straighten my hair ever 2-3 days (wash days) and i curl it on occasion. My split ends are bad the breakage is bad its tangled and gross when im out of the shower, like barely anything helps. Its pretty bad. I have naturally course and extreamly thick hair. I so badly wanted to do a nice chop into a layered bob and start over. Unfortunately i do sports. You have to have your hair up for theese sports and theres no acception. Please help me. I am gonna trim and go from there but ive been crying out for help since day one. And for more insight it smells burnt when put under the water. Very bad. Especially if i curled it that week. I just want my hair to have less damage and be repaired. Please help me.
My wife clocks next month. She got a bit of a preview into what a salon looks like as she got hired as a front desk associate at a bigger salon so she knew what to look for later on. Also, THANK GOD for no more non-competes. Made her choice a lot easier when she isn't locked into a place for multiple years.
I've only had like 2 horrible clients, but this clients would've made me so anxious and upset! I would've blocked them from booking again! Did she ever come back? The transformation was beautiful btw!❤

How are you going to go about letting your current boss know you are leaving and taking those salon clients with you?
99% of the clients I have found me through my social media and booked with me directly, so they’re my clients, not the salon’s. So there’s no weirdness there! I just told her the situation and she was very supportive. :)
@@styledbysamvay that’s great. I’m a commissioned stylist for 20 years and have been with my current salon for 12 years. I would fear leaving based on retaliation from the owner despite the clients finding me on my own referrals and I don’t have a non compete.
