Nice shirt ;)
One of my favorite things about fishkeeping is the feeding response of my cichlids, particularly the Mbuna and Peacocks.
Would make a great screen saver. Another first class video...thanks for taking the time
Awesome post. Nice to see your Mbunas. Gives me a good idea of what mine will look like.
My wife and I started this hobby with mbuna. We also have alot of haps , a few peacocks and our tropheus population is growing now. One thing is for sure, we will always have mbuna of some sort in our tanks. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you, this was perfect for me. Just getting into the hobby and I have mbunas. Thank you!!!!!! 🥰
Thank you for the information!!!! Nice vid as always beautiful fish
great video zenzo! love mbuna, I might think about doing another mbuna tank again soon!
Great video 🤙🏻 gotta love some good ol mbuna! Awesome shirt!
Great Mbuna vid braddah, because of you I made a separate tank with just Mbuna and will be upgrading it to a 55g much love and aloha keep It up braddah 🤙🏽🐠🤙🏽
Its Saturday and I am relaxing just getting all this Mbuna knowledge! 👌💪
Cool video Zenzo! I really want to keep African cichlids again now :)
Great stuff bro, keep at it!!
Amazing fish for sure!!!I have 17 mbunas in my African cichild tank and they look so beautiful in many colors, spots and stripes!!!I bought the first 2 back in Otober 12 of 2019 and my tank is 54 gallons,4 foot long!!It was pretty hard to make them respect each other but I managed to make them act like a school now, maybe they chase each other sometimes but they are not fighting at all so they are in good health like yours!!!In this tank I have 1 Tanganyika cichlid and 1 hap and 2 aulonocara!!They are used to the camera and they know me so well that when I am in front of the glass I am puting my hand close to the glass and move it from the one side of the tank to the other they all follow it,what an amazing sight,I love them!!!Cheers my friend!!!
Hey Zenzo, great job as usual. It’s been awhile since I have kept Mbunas. They always were some aggressive eaters. My haps often start to jump out of the tank, when they know I am going to give them frozen krill. Anyways thanks for sharing
Colorful piranhas! Rocking that shirt pretty well. 😁

Thank you! They are ferocious eaters! LOL!
Cool.... Great quality on the video
Very beautiful/ colorful fish!🐟
Awesome video man. Mine also attack me when I put in veggies.
I love that Ambuna thank wish to see it more often
Nice tank and african cichlids, my dad say my mbunas are underwater pitbulls he never had any but he loves mine
Nice video, I've had mbuna for 4+ years now. They are shy, socially aggressive, colourful and entertaining. I usually have to sit in front of the tank with no sudden movements for atleast 20-30 mins before they come out unless its feeding time. You should watch tiger barbs (any barbs really) now they feed like piranha and nibble at the skin and hairs on your hand.
They’re enthusiastic!
I just got a 4 Mbuna not to lonh ago. Added them to my mixed African cichlid tank.

What do you feed since it's a mixed tank? 😊
Love your videos new subscriber here. I was womdering if you could do a beginner guide to keeping African cichlids. I have a 55 gallon and want to get into cichlids but have no idea where to start

Great idea. I will consider this. Thank you!
Hi🙂 was wondering what fish flakes or pellets do you feed your mbuna and how often do you feed the seaweed?
Love the vids....whats the name of the 2 with the horizontal lines?
What's the stocking on this tank. There are some species I really like the look of.
What kind of rocks/decorations are those exactly? Any leads as to where I can find something similar?
I have no idea how much food to put in the tank. It’s 75 gallon mbuna tank, had them in there for 3 days. They’re doing great, I use NLS and a kelp/veggie pellet. How much food do I put in there? How do I make sure I don’t put in too much?
Hi 👋 could you please tell me what mbuna that is on the bottom left and the time -1.48 please i have one like it but not sure what exactly it is.. im thinking demasoni?
Hey man, I have a golden mbuna and she doesn’t seem to like the flakes, she’ll eat a few and then turn away, what do you suggest feeding a mbuna
Whats the brand of that veggie-food you were handfeeding them with?
What type of mbuna are those?
They certainly like their food
I have mbunas in a 3 feet tank. It's 2 feet high. But I was confused. How many do you have in there?
What kind of substrate do you have?
Nice vid. Can get the same aggressive eating frenzy with lots of fish. I get the same reaction in my community and guppy tanks. The only difference is that the fish are much smaller in size than Mauna so the affect is not as dramatic. Are you planning on being at Aquatic Experience this Fall?

It’s on my calendar and I hope to be there!
Haha my Mbunas are photogenic
What rock do you use in your mbuna thank? Do you recommend it or do you recommend other rock? I did want to use lava rock but read that it is to sharp and could harm your fish. So now I'm locking for an alternative.

I have lava rock as well as synthetic rocks in this tank.
Is this a 3feet long tank?
Can you confirm me that? Please It's said that some species of mbuna are carnivores? Like cynotilapia sp. Hara, cynotilapia sp. Lion(lion's cove) etc...
Hey can I feed dried Bloodworms to my mbuna??
I have a quick question. I’m setting up an Mbuna tank and I like your colors. Can you list the stocking of that tank? What fish and how many of each?
Hoe many Mbuna do you have in this 65g tank?! I am trying to get a baseline to see how many i can put on my 50g. Thanks
I have 3 mbuna that are about 3 to 3.5 inches and 1 1invh to 2 inches .. can I add more small ones they are about the 2 inch size
@TazawaTanks

Yes.
and they kill like the plague lol
Mbunas eat aggressive with authority but l have 5 of them 3 to 4 inches in size with a larger jack Dempsey 5.5 in size they definitely eat more aggressive than the Dempsey but l also have 13 exodons bucktooth tetras and at feeding time the exodons are by far the most aggressive at feeding time when food hits the water they are the first to hit it they get full with the Mbunas and l have to put in more so the Dempsey can eat because the exodons and Mbunas eat it before the Dempsey even gets a chance this mix of different species so far since early January 2020 has been working out well with bickering and some fencing but no serious injuries or death and a very active tank with a lot of movement but the Dempsey is not quite as active but the Mbunas and exodons seem to move constantly making for a tank that is fun to watch
I have a 40 gallon breeder and how many Mbunas I can stock with weekly water changes
@TazawaTanks

If it were me, maybe around 8.
Very pretty fish really nice set up only red flag that I have is the 55 gallon things I wish they would stop making nose 55 gallons because too many people put fish in there they get way too large and they cannot turn Around Even with mabuna I would still not recommend that tank size for those I just think it's cruel Not very much space at all
Is that nori from the grocery store or special for fish?

Sorry you already answered!
tried feeding zucchini and my mbuna refused, they eat all kinds of processed food from sinking and floating pellets to flake, and even nip my fingers, how do you prepare various fresh (and cheaper) foods like zucchini for your african cichlids?
@TazawaTanks

I usually blanch mine in boiling water for a few minutes.

Which food? I feed a variety of brands and styles. The seaweed they were eating out of my hand is an algae food from Ocean Nutrition.
