FEEDING FRENZY At The Big Bridge (Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Kayak Fishing)

Kayak fishing at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (Part One). The fishing started off strong and stayed steady, with plenty of bridge dwellers and other creatures making an appearance. I ran into some drama right before the fishing REALLY picked up but this video was already long enough, the aftermath of that is going to be in part two!

They sure are stout for their size. I wish the giant ones on the wrecks off NC would bite. Would be a hoot

I've seen those referred to as sand sea trout/silver sea trout. They look similar to a grey. Nice video!

Great video bud. I’m one of the boat guys. We did get custom 11ft rods built for the sheep’s. Only way we could effectively fish the pilings.

I caught them decent one time on the bridge from a boat with no trolling motor and looking back on it I have absolutely no idea how we pulled that off

Where you are fishing at some point in this video, is by where they have a fishing pier close for repairs. I hate that they have it closed for so long! 😢. Great video

Soo your the guy that’s got Elias thinking about the life scope.. I personally use the active target by Lowrance. Love using it for pilings. I need to make a trip up to that bridge. I’m around the areas of Wilmington!

I've caught the most insane sheepshead around that island. My pb is 28", I caught it in early winter fishing for tog around the northern end of the island. I had hooked and lost a couple others that day and I thought they were just really big tog.

pretty work. Ive watched your videos for some time now and really enjoyed them. thought it would be cool to meet you on the water or maybe fish with you sometime. I was out there that day too. you and elias were on the beach getting ready to launch when I pulled up. I heard his voice and knew it was him. I should have come over and said hello but figured I would see him on the water. I didnt go as far as you guys did but came over to say hi and introduce myself to elias when he backtracked a little bit. guess I should have headed out to the island and I could have said hello to you too. hopefully next time.

I'm sure I went past plenty of fish to get to the ones I caught but I'm not upset that I did! Weather really worked out for a day of kayaking didn't it?

@@nolanminor6761 that weather was beautiful until the afternoon when the wind and a couple storms kicked up. but thats pretty normal for there. theres fish all over that bridge so yeah you went past plenty but it sounds like you found plenty too so I wouldnt be upset either. I went past a lot too, haha. they catch a lot of sheepshead much closer but I like heading further out. I still managed a sheepshead limit and had a heartbreak.

Good job brother ! We do have sheepshead here in SW fla but the good spots don't have alot of crabs to find. I would have to go crabbing 1 place and fish another. Those rocks look FUCKING SCARY. I bust my ass and ankle a few years ago. I couldn't handle another fall on a surgically repaired leg. Big macks and blues are about my fav for action fishing.

Yep catching bait and catching sheepshead usually doesn't happen in the same place for me, Elias actually caught those for us to use because he's the MAN. Yeah I didn't like those rocks very much, glad it was calm there.

It uses some juice for sure. I run a 50ah 12v X2 Power lithium on mine, it powers both the unit and black box. Can fish a couple days on it but I just charge after each day to be safe.
