    @Gooseman2k2 Pretty sure knocking out Rogers, knocking out Arlovski, dropping Sylvia in ten seconds, and going toe-to-toe with a prime CroCop gives him more pugilistic street cred than your average 6 month-trained amateur boxer. JUST SAYING.

    Front hand between your eyes along your / the opponent's center line, slightly in front of you. - Reminds me of Lennox Lewis having his front hand out some distance so his multipurpose jabs start from closer to the target. Rear hand by your nose right over your chin - Reminds me of Joe Louis, hand by the mouth ready to parry a straight attack or come up to defend hooks When throwing any punch, curl the wrist slightly so the fist "looks down" - Reminds me of how Jorge Masvidal almost knocked Nate Diaz out with a hook but his wrist folded, absorbing the impact. When moving, maintain the weight distribution of your legs. - Reminds me of Samart saying how you need to practice stance work by itself just like striking Weight is 50/50, slightly to the rear leg - Reminds me of Giorgio Petrosyan; his weight is to the rear, allowing his front leg to check, kick, or plant for punches or angles.

    You got the point, Fedor's style is more like Kickboxing using more hands, not pure Boxing. But anyway, Fedor is the GOAT!

    Look at all these "experts",who cares about his movement or stance as long as he gets results.He can prance around in a tutu for all i care as long as he produces good results.

    If Fedor trained you in boxing. You probably could knock out 95% of people on the streets. In a self defense situation.

    @Gooseman2k2 When he fought Mirko, he used decent lateral movement and head movement after throwing combinations. It is not the weakest part of his game,and I would think amateur boxers (in general) do not move better than him. When you say 'amateur boxer', your intention is to demean Fedor's skills; if you are talking about the average ammie then yes, if you are talking about a golden gloves champ or junior olympic winner, then probably not.

    2-Your point apply perfectly to someone like Chuck lidell or Wanderly silva and look what happened when they faced a heavy puncher like Rampage, therefore MMA is NOT safe for somone who has weak striking defense and lead with his jaw .

  • @Gooseman2k2
    @Gooseman2k213 жыл бұрын

    @darklord220 It's funny that you say he has good lateral movement in that fight because... It's EXACTLY the opposite... He didn't cut off the ring at all for the first round! Which is usually the usage for lateral movement as the aggressor! And fedor's head movement while jerky, is i agree effective. But head movement and movement are two different things... It's totally obvious that Fedor needs to work on his movement... Amature boxers move alot better in general... Dunno how you don't see it!

    2-if talking about weak striking in MMA then acheving 10 yrs winning streak must be easy and done by just being huge wrestler (lesnar) or kickboxer (mirko) but it not the case, other than that weak boxing =failling in boxing and nothing else if hit don't get hit/winning is the basic rule here.

    1- Let agree that if weak boxing is not moving /defending like a boxer then NON-boxing stand up pro's don't , doesn't mean they' ll look like fools in no boxing stand up fights, if don't get hit is the rule then he did not keep wining for 10yrs just relying on his chin;see his fight with Mark hunt a kickboxer

    does he punch as hard as fedor tho ? i bet no. a lot of fedors opponents said they've never been hit so hard. I'd rather be able to fight like him than ANY boxer .

  • @worldinuniverse
    @worldinuniverse10 жыл бұрын

    1-IFyou believe MMA has weak strikers the thing that attributes to his 10yrs winning streak then Mirko Filipovic , Mark hunk are accompliched kickboxers why they didn't acheive a 30+ winining streak ? I tought the SAME thing about Ovreem striking but the guy went and KO'd Badr hari one of K1 best in 2008 and won K1GP in 2010.

    @darklord220 You doubt that the weakest part of his game is his movement? or that amature boxers move better? BOTH i would say Fedor would probably tell you himself... Now whether its because hes a heavyweight and a lil outa shape, or because he's always been that bad at it is still up for debate!

    I.... Am.... Confused... Your comment has no relevance to my reply... I think the POINT is that Fedor's striking ESPECIALLY his boxing is very very very weak... and he rely's almost totally on his power, and the fact that his opponents have quite weak striking skills as well... I'm not interested in "textbook" boxing... Since boxing is simply hit and don't get hit... nothing more. Fedor hasn't mastered the "don't get hit" part... and if he ever faced a top tier striker... it would be clear.

    He does what works and that should be IT , it is of NO value if his striking defence/head movement don't look textbook of boxing , you ll say the same about a no-boxing pro stand up fighter from other combat sports like Yodsanklai, he does not move/head move like a boxer doesn't mean he'll get KO'ed by any boxer just bc of that fact ALONE.

    Hey, have you tried MuscLeader (search on Google)? There you can watch a useful free video explaining the way to build visible muscle mass fast while burning body fat at the same time. Kev or many other guys like him had good results by using this methodology. Hopefully it works for you as well...

    Vitaly and Wlad klichko are pro boxing champs, they do not have textbook boxing head moves or they cover their heads all the time , him against a top 20 boxer should happen under rules where no one is limited Not boxing rules .

    fedor hits like a truck no doubt... also he has great timing... but I doubt u'd wanna fight "like him" if your priority is winning... Can you imagine what would happen to him against a top 20 boxer? it would be stupid... Fedors game is good... but his boxing is horrific. punching, isn't boxing...
