Federal Signal 3T22 Siren Coding Damper

Here is the top damper of Holly's 3T22 in action. As you can see this one only closes half way and needs a new spring and some WD-40. Bottom solenoid is completely seized. So glad I could get this wired up and see it in action.

Seems like the magnets ain't pulling as powerful as back then in their childhood... Damper grease for bearings is sometimes good tho
When it codes the damper reminds me of thunderbolt 1003T

Also How in the world. Do you turn the solenoids on with that type of voltage thats already like 15 hp? 🧐

@@Engineer_Anton The solenoids are 240 volt single phase. They only pull about an amp each
