Despite my failed Allertor recording in Batavia, this pretty much made up for it. I met up with a whole bunch of other siren enthusiast over at this 2001-SRN back in August. What's unique about this siren is that it's located along a floodwall meaning at the top, it was super loud. Probably one of the loudest 2001s I've heard. And I think mostly everyone that was there could agree with that, once it sounded. However, there was some doubt whether or not this would sound. To the west, there were some developing storms. Michael called dispatch, and although they too were doubtful, the county still decided to sound the sirens that evening. One storm went severe after we left and the lightning looked impressive after the test. If it weren't for the approaching storm, I would've gotten the drone out as well. But hey it was also nice to meet up with everyone. Hopefully we all get to see each once more.
*Okay, so this is going to be my last video on the old format. There's a few others as well I was going release, but I think I'll convert them over and reupload them. That way I got more videos with the newer intro, making my OCD a little more satisfied in the process*

About time! XD Nice video!
That was really fun. It certainly is an experience to hear a 2001 from such close distance. I almost wish we set up on the other side so we could've seen the lightning, but that was still amazing.

It was quite the experience indeed. This was one of those few tests that had an almost real-warning feel to it.

I remember having to drive back through that same storm. Man, it got nasty!
Dang, the cities down here in Texas would've cancelled without even thinking twice. Even if there were no storms, the clouds in the sky look like it was enough to cancel a test down here.

2 questions 1. Why were tones incomplete? 2. Isn’t this the same county with the EOWS*612 that has that lean?

The tones are incomplete because none of our radios could properly pick it up, and yes this is the same place with the leaning 612.

Where did they activate from? I find it weird that out of all of the scanners we had, only yours picked something up.

Tigers9596 the county has a drunken pole problem. There's at least 3 sirens that lean at drunken angles.
