I find it hilarious that this administration just leaves our borders wide open and instead of blaming Joe Biden and the left they want to go back to 2018 and blame Republicans for not signing a bill that was too weak on illegal immigration. Fucking hilarious. Thats why ICE was locking up and deporting illegals at a record high rate under DJT but as soon as Biden gets in office he stops all of that.

It was pretty clear that when that bill got shot down, the purpose to make the current administration seem inept. I think that became the general playbook almost as soon as the dust settled after January 6th. By doing so, they stood a better chance at winning in the midterm elections, and eventually giving their party's leader another shot...assuming he was not in prison.

At this point, I won't vote for any Republican candidate, whether they are Maga or not. The "old guard Republicans" who are leaving, (for example, Mitt Romney), are correct in their decisions to retire. In the current Republican era, they couldn't win re-election anyway. I believe Romney & his fellow Republicans know the Republican Party is doomed, and it is Trump's doing. They know it will be at least a couple of years or more before the Party dies and a new Republican Party - or whatever they call it - is formed and gains popularity. VOTE BLUE!!

This bill has things attached to it people do not like! The people that are trying to attach other things to it and not include important factors are the ones responsible. Make a better bill that they can then pass! People don't get that it is the added or missing factors that is the reason a bill does not get agreed on, NOT because they do not want to pass one. One of the issues currently and would still be is the human and child trafficking that is going on and specifically because criminals are taking advantage of the current policies, it was not the same issue under trump also the new bill would still allow this to continue. Just is ONE of the issues.

The bill never reached an actual vote. If it did the consensus was that is would be heavily supported by both sides, making it a VERY strongly supported, bipartisan bill.

I find it hilarious that this administration just leaves our borders wide open and instead of blaming Joe Biden and the left they want to go back to 2018 and blame Republicans for not signing a bill that was too weak on illegal immigration. Fucking hilarious. Thats why ICE was locking up and deporting illegals at a record high rate under DJT but as soon as Biden gets in office he stops all of that.

I am tired of Bills being packaged. Why can’t each bill be a bubble vote. For example, all SAT questions are answered by penciling in the bubble. What is 100% agreed on should be passed and anything below 50% should be reworked and renegotiated. Change the way it is done because we Americans are seeing how ridiculous and disfunctional it is done.
