The decorum of the court is one thing that impressed me when I served on three juries. In the cases I observed, everyone enjoyed respect and there was a certain aspect of solemnity. When we jurors were invited in, everyone stood for us, just as they stand when the judge approaches the bench. These things contributed to the seriousness and diligence with which we eventually deliberated. Trump's closed eyes and Costello's pugnacious scorn make a mockery of what are supposed to be dignified proceedings.

Being lawyer to a guilty party and still trying to negate his guilt can't be much fun. Your client is a renown liar, so putting him on the witness stand is only going to cause more crimes. Everyone working for him that has any knowledge of went on has already testified against your client. But still you try to defend him without loosing your license to practice law again. I've got no sympathy for Trump's lawyer, he signed on to try this case, but I do recognize the whole thing is probably far worse than he ever imagined. I would guess that he thought he could shake Cohn on the witness stand but that didn't happen. Trump not keeping Cohn out of prison was a big, big mistake for Trump. It was a god send for the rest of us.

They always say that lawyers make the worst witnesses, especially former high-ranking prosecutors. The defense should have seen this coming from a mile away.

Why are you focusing on Costello’s privilege obligations to Cohen, when it was Cohen who previously waived them. I don’t remember you focusing on Cohen breaching his privilege obligations to Trump when in that case Trump did not waive them.

It sounds like Dan Goldman is working with the prosecution AND giving money to Merchan's daughter. When the dust settles on this nonsense, Merchan is going to be the one ending up in a jail cell.

Judge Merchan also admonished Costello to stop slouching and sit up straight in the witness chair when answering questions!

How do you know you can trust the judge?

Agree, we have to remember him and Trump were in this deal together, everything in black and white, plus Trump having all these congress people come down to show him support, just answered the guilty plea for Trump. He is trying to hard to not be found guilty, which he is. Plan as day.

Wasn't this the same guy that was suppose to be Cassidy Hutchinson's lawyer but she felt like he wasn't giving HER good advice but was in fact giving her advice to protect donnie BEFORE she dumped him? Or was that someone else who wanted to torch their careers? This is legal malpractice. IF this guy has tried to get whomever he was lawyering for to "protect donnie" INSTEAD of doing his job of giving good, sound legal advice to his client...isn't that something that he can be sued for? Actual, legal malpractice or whatever the legalese is for it?

Keep up people. One juror is a corporate lawyer and the other is a finance lawyer. Doubtful they would ever have been in court before

From what I heard on a CNN video just moments ago, Trump INSISTED on having Costello testify --- the Clown Car Posse representing Trump did not want Costello as a witness, but they caved in to Trump who is likely loving this because Costello is doing all the stuff that Trump is not allowed to do right now.

This guy Costello did the interview circuit before he gave testimony. He was wound as tight as a watch spring ready to go - way too much nervous energy to be an effective witness.

Defense is going out with a bang! Costello will be the cherry on top for jury.

I really believe the defense is doing their best to push Merchan to a point they can then use it for appeal.

It's not an error for Trump's team to force an error from the judge. Losing your temper is always a bad look. Makes the judge look emotionally involved. The jury may not understand the legal nuance of the judge and lawyer/witness relationship and it's likely they're forbidden from watching this programming so they possibly could never know that information before they make their ruling.

Let’s not let our enemies make us out to be fools conquering ourselves.
