@@colonelranders747 I choose to buy the regular trail series. I didn't feel like we really needed the three way adjustable shocks. They seem to be more geared toward a recreational or pure sport model. And I have small children that can't handle hammering down ever where or doing invasive rock crawling. The biggest difference to me is the ride quality, because you can adjust the compression and rebound on them. Seems to have a more planted feel all the way around. It's like owning a Ford fusion to a Cadillac. The fusion is a good car, but the Cadillac is graceful about transportation. Don't get me wrong the stock shocks aren't too bad. The 814 offers a premium ride, where the stock suspension lacks. It's to Yamahas detriment they, for whatever reason, refuse to change the Viking in any way. I personally feel like Craig Folmar found a deficit and more than made up for it!

Correct, into 4WD from 2WD and vice versa on the move but not Diff Lock Mode on the move.

07/06/2022 Hi David , Yes, they can be pre-ordered. At the moment there is a supply issue in NZ and AUS and the Viking is not available for immediate delivery. Your local dealer can assist with timing.

So yes they haven't updated but in all honesty, its so solid and has more than enough power with diff lock and low range, I can't image what benefit you'll really get with the bigger power plant. There are no free lunches and the tradeoff may not be worth it. JMO

@@jstraus34 personally, I understand and agree with what your saying. I just wish Yamaha offered an option of a bigger power plant. And maybe some of the overheating problems stem from the motor working too hard. On top of a garbage stock fan.

@@ciamissionary1 Fair point, those things should have been updated along the way if that was an issue. Mine is a 2020 and I have not experienced overheating but I don't run for extended periods in hot weather. I also think giving consumers a choice if they want a bigger power plant is always a good if you want to sell more of anything unless demand outstrips supply as is which I don't think is the case.
