Incredible! Despite of just 25% possession, Saarbrücken managed to resist the attack. Their only two shots on target through out the match had turned into goals! Bayern was also eliminated in such an early stage! Saarbrücken helped to reduce a strong competitor in DFB-Pokal!

The way Müller reacted to the first goal says it all. Exactly the wrong type of body language - a perfect example of underestimating your opponent and getting what you deserve.

Big teams always lose when they think they don't have to play their best players against an underdog.

How possible the player from the 1st league club lost to 3rd league club. This is rare situation happened to the top five leagues in this world. They have more talent, skill and of course the high salary. It is so shocking and embarrassing. For a conclusion, dfb pokal's curse for bayern is quite severe and there is no cure. 4 years in a row have been lost (3 years in 2nd stage). Can you imagine that they are the bundesliga title holder during the period but they don't ever reach the semi final on this dfb pokal cup. Oh, no. This is so wrong, weird and mystery. Such a bad record of the club history. Right now, as a fans, everytime bayern munich play in dfb pokal, more over on the 2nd stage, i feel so nervous.

This is a poor evaluation. Bayern are clearly not prioritizing this competition in favor of champion’s league and Bundesliga which is reasonable since they’re both more important. Losing with a B side (looming Klassiker) against a minnow playing the game of their life means upsets are bound to happen, since in a tournament anyone can be hot and win one game. Bayern will be upset but move on holding 11 trophies because they have bigger fish to fry, and it’s really not that big a deal. Signed, a still grieving Dortmund fan
