Yes I live in the us now but I’m from a town sort of close to Saarbrücken,, and they are a very middle of the pack team in the 3. League, nothing amazing and then in the German Cup they’re kicking everyone out of it… even Karlsruhe which is MY team 😂😂😂

@@omayaki5264 nah they have to win the trophy or they get nothing. 5th place is for europa league and 6th place for conference league, while the cup winner gets the second europa league spot. if the winner of the dfb pokal (or any of the major cups in europe) qualify directly to the UCL or UECL, the spots get passed down the table. 6th for UEL and 7th for UECL

Might just be the greatest Cinderella run of all time!

French league has had more impressive runs : amateur 4th tier Calais in 2000 lost 2-1 in the final against Nantes, Quevilly in 3rd tier in 2012 lost in Final against Lyon, Les Herbiers in 2018 to lose 2-0 in final against PSG Guingamp in 2014 actually won it although they were "only" in second division If Saarbucken actually wins it then yeah they will make history, hope they do

Unbelievable run they're on. Beating 3 Bundesliga teams including Bayern as a mid table club in the 3rd tier. Absolutely unbelievable. But in reality, it's Leverkusen's to lose. No Bundesliga teams left in the competition. They couldn't have asked for a better field in the Semi Finals. But imagine if that's the Final and Saabrucken somehow win... would be one of the biggest upsets in history.
