It's also equally possible that he's a non-Latin American who grew up in a neighborhood of Latin Americans. That would still inherit his accent. It's also equally possible that the man who made up that many ciphers and evaded the police for so long right under their noses, made intentional mistakes to seem like he's latin American. It's unlikely for either scenario to be the case, but it's still a very decent chance when they're combined, and trying to take that he's Latin American from non-visual clues would be less fact and more likely probability.

This is a true madlad, he got everyone to spend decades deciphering a letter that was just him bragging about how good he is and how he doesn't fear them

Much of his communications during the beginning of the spree showed pretty strong evidence of severe bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia and the latter of the two only got more obvious with every new communication. He likely was locked up in a mental ward after his last cypher.

Imagine becoming a killer and leaving cyphers on victims that when decoded, links to a rick roll.

I think the reason the Zodiac killer stopped killing was because ran into some karma. He like to go out late at night. I think he was either a victim of crime or in an accident or had a medical sickness. No way that someone this sick just stops killing for pleasure cold turkey. Something happened that stopped him. He probably had some misfortune befall him to end his crimes. There may well be a police or hospital report that unknowingly has his incident documented.

Also, the survivor of the attack at the lake, Brian, was there after the broadcast and was listening to the recording of the person who called in and said that the voice on the phone was not the same voice as the Zodiac's when he and his girlfriend were stabbed. So after all that time, it's just Zodiac telling us something that the cops and public already knew? Even though this code wasn't deciphered during the time it was written, Zodiac would have known that the cops were well aware that the caller was an imposter shortly after that event by simply reading the newspapers, which we know he did.

According to a member of Cecilias family, the zodiac stabbed her far more and carved his symbol on her. There were rumors of this but to hear her family speak it was very factual and I regretted asking...

Those “mistakes” are also likely clues to the next cipher. The misspelling of “paradise” may point to an S->C transpose, or perhaps “pair of dice” might tell us something about how the cipher was made.

I apologize for pointing out what is really a very small error, but it's just so funny--the name of one of the famous lawyers mentioned is pronounced 'BELL-eye', not Belly. I worked at a deli near his office and waited on him more than a few times. Melvin Belly at the deli. He did have rather a big belly.

He's most likely dead now anyways. He's basicaly the modern version of Jack the Ripper: killed in secret, was seen but not recognised, sent taunting letters to the police, stopped commting murders eventualy, died, case still open postmortem. Zodiac could technicaly still be alive and in his 70s/80s/90s but it's more likely that he's dead

He died in 2020, well at least the man who commissioned the Zodiac psyop. He also ran the The Night Stalker. Multiple killers were involved in Zodiac I believe, and it leads right to the Presidio. Any guesses as to who the man is? Instead of breaking his codes look at who the most obvious man was, a man with many under his command in charge of psyops and one of the biggest Satanists in San Francisco, he was also in charge of MK Ultra/Monarch programs so he had official cover.

You yourself don't need to be one of the people doing the actual solving, you just need to have some relation with or be on the same side as the people doing the actual solving, which in this case would be just about everyone except for the Zodiac Killer. As a random example, any American could say, "We walked on the Moon first," even though only 12 out of the literally millions of Americans in history have ever walked on the Moon, so the chances of the person saying that having actually walked on the Moon is extremely slim.

why would he use a phrase invented 20 years in the future?

He wasn't smart, making an unsolvable cryptogram is extremely easy, the smart guys are the ones deciphering without the cipher... That takes some real skill! One of the reasons it took so much to decipher the last letter was that he messed up while writing the cryptogram
