Every once in awhile, you come across a video that touches you as much for the artist’s beautiful spirit as did the art she created. Thank you, Erin, for sharing the beauty in your heart as well as the beauty you created in your journal. 💖
Thank you! I’m watching this 7 years after you made this video. I wasn’t sure what I could layer over the CaranD’Ache neocolor 2’s this is so helpful!
Thank you so much for this: I just got the crayons and finding them a little challenging. This is perfect and your painting is beautiful.
Yes, lots of techniques to use, lots to think about. Thanks for posting!
Absolutely beautiful, inspiring! You are fearless with your touch and it works! Your sharing /teaching is such a kind generosity ...thank you. xxx 💕
I love your process so free and experimental!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!! That background is amazing.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.❤️❤️
im going to try this with just my watercolors and things i have on hand! thanks for the beautiful video
Love this demonstration … your piece turned out beautifully! Thank you.
I love them! My favorite art supply as well! Tamara Laporte shows this same type of art journalling. Always a hit!
Beautifully finished with imperfections! I loved it!
THAT is gorgeous! I love the Caran Dache crayons too.
Absolutely stunning! Thank u for the video
Thank you for sharing this video! I’m new to Neocolor 1 and 2. I’ve been learning about them via KZread and they are brilliant! I have the neocolor 2 set and my neocolor 1 is scheduled to arrive today. I’ve been surprised that there is so little online about artist using and demonstrating them. I do thank you for the techniques you shared and the artwork you finished! I’ll be checking out you other videos and mediums you use. Have a great week, Fran
Thank you. Your art style is amazing.
I am in awe!
Stunning!.. and thanks for caran dache lesson.
Beautiful work! Plus it looks like you had so much fun and joy creating this piece.
Wow, this was amazing!!! I learned so much more than just how to use this massive set of caran d’ache neocolors I just acquired. I get really perfectionistic with my work and it can often work against me, especially with my calligraphy! My gosh do I get so worked up when my spacing isn’t perfect. I need to learn to let go more and just have fun, like I used to. This turned out so beautiful and I gotta say that I stayed tuned bcuz I had to see if the hot mess that you started with would turn into something beautiful … it absolutely did!! You did not disappoint. This was magical!!!!
Thank you so much! What beautiful artwork and how kind of you to share your technique! It's really inspired me to use my four neocolours.
I love this and I can't wait to buy these crayons. I never thought of layering and using so many art supplies. You are so wonderful and inspiring!

Exactly how I use the neocolors and prisma pencils. Fantastic combination 🙏. Love the way the soluble graphite pencil works and blends - will definitely try that 🙏. Beautiful, whimsical art 🌷
In love with the whole process! 😮❤❤
Beautiful! Thank you for ideas I've never applied!
Gorgeous! This inspires me to get loose and play! I tend to get caught in details and I need to break the habit and try something different. This is it. Thx sooo much! Happy art making all ♥️🤗🖍
So lovely!!! I really enjoyed watching this video and I learned a lot! Thank you! I can’t wait to use my neocolor crayons!!
Awesome ideas thank you very much for teaching me theses techniques for what I can layer over my neonn2 crayons...manybart blessing to you today....
Wow! Just beautiful!!
Turned out great 👍
You’ve really inspired me!!! I’m really confident with graphite but crave colour ever so much! However, I’ve been holding back as to not wanting to ‘ruin’ a piece. I love colour but somehow I go blank when applying colour to my art. Thank you for your uplifting spirit 🌻
Watching you create this was amazing and gorgeous! 😊🌷

They are really great to use as under-painting for soft pastels and/or color pencil. A little goes a long way!
Erin, I love your "loose" techniques in this video , plus it's very pleasant to watch and listen to your lovely British accent. You don't talk too much, which I find to be very annoying in many artists' videos. The background music was perfect! The small accents you added at the end using the nib pen made such a huge difference in the end result. Keep making these wonderful videos!
Fantastic,wow,really enjoyed watching🌟

I just learned to draw about a year ago. Inspired by Jane D supplies! I did your tutorial partially. O love watching you and listening to you teach. So soothing and inspiring. Your passion for color and art abound. I wish I could show you my rendition. I just learned not all that long ago. But with your tutorial I couldn’t believe my eyes when I was done

Your style is different and I learned so much from that. It’s awesome. Oh and I’m using my dip pen for the first time!!! Love it.
That is beautiful, I must have these lovely pens , and she's so pretty 😊

Erin Duncan : A Wild Light if I can find the budget, I'd love to get 3 or 4. What would you suggest colorwise if I can only start with a small amount?
@ErinDuncan
7 жыл бұрын
Kris, you could get a selection of the primary colours. I am very partial to magentas and turquoises, so I suggest you pick something that is close to your favourite colours in life. My favs are Carmine, Malachite Green, Manganese Violet and Indigo Blue, Greenish Blue and Purplish Red! I also find Naples yellow and salmon very useful. Don't make me choose!!!! xo
Beautifully done! = )

Thank u so much for this video, Imhave Lyras, saving up for big setmof neocolours. I enjoy making face sketches n mixed media pages too. Like u say Im now going to get just these face cols in Neos n some inks. This video has answered my biggest questions, what can I usd over these crayons, I was scared of killing fine liner pens but dip pens seem the best option thanks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Im doing Jane Davenport classes n so want to explore more mediums with my art. Thanks for this video, for superb advice n for inspiration. Namaste, peace,,love, light n much gratitude x

This is beautiful Erin. I have all of the products you used yet don't use them often, but now you've inspired me to! I got a small tin of the Caran D'ache and would love to buy some more in single colours but would have to buy them on line. Do you know of a reputable art shop in Aus that sells them individually for a good price? Thanks so much :)

Thank you! Your work is creative intelligence and love shared. Question? What is the Sacred Creative Oracle Deck? I've looked on Amazon, but have not found the cards? I am purchasing some of the art mediums you suggested ...watercolor got away from me, but as you say...trusting the process. Peace. K

Hi Kim 😊 Im sorry I didn't see your comment until today. I have put a link to the sacred creators oracle deck in the video description box. Its a beautiful deck by Chris-Ann. The first print sold out but i think she's doing another print run. Thank you for your beautiful comment, I truly appreciate it and wish you so much joy in your art journey 💜 x
Oh My Goodness!!! this is amazing!. quick question, would you say that using gesso is what prevents the paper from wearing too much. I find that I always wear into the paper (and occasionally right through it when I try to layer things. I have just bought a gesso just havent had the guts to use it yet hahaha
@ErinDuncan
7 жыл бұрын
Yes Jess!!! Gesso is absolutely what prevents the paper from breaking apart underneath you, especially when doing all this kind of layering that we do. Get that Gesso on there and dry it fast with a hair dryer if you don't want to wait for it to dry. I also water my Gesso down a bit if the brand I have bought is really thick. Experiment.. you can't go wrong with it. xox
