I actually like the lore for this gender bend. A female monster was in the book, but never got completed, so I think its interesting that in Fate he decided to make the female one first instead of the male one

Fran being cute AF is definitely accurate, since egotistical Victor would never settle less than not make his monster the most perfect man. And he did. Only thing really wrong with the monster was that his eyes looked off. Uncanny valley kind of thing. But otherwise, for something made of a patchwork of corpse parts, the monster was truly an Adam.

@@otakudaikun The dream team I have for Fran’s interlude is Fran, Mash, Mordred, Jekyll, Babbage and Altera. Mash, Mordred, Jekyll and Babbage are all Fran’s friends and allies and Babbage knew Victor personally. I fear he’d be very saddened and disappointed by Victor’s growing hatefulness and megalomania. Altera meanwhile would probably sympathize with Fran for being forced to become a monster despite her desire to live peacefully. I’m sure all of them would be glad to support her. It’s also a genuinely feasible team because I have Jekyll, Babbage and Altera and I have multiple friends who could provide Mordred as a Support Servant. I just have to wait for Fran herself.

Fran is honestly my most favorite thing about Apocrypha. Her scene in episode 9 is the best part of the entire anime adaptation.

You forgot one very important detail: just when she died, Fran was the happiest she had ever been, because she knew that her master would be devastated at her death. It meant that someone genuinely cared for her at long last.

Fran is a cutie pie doll Berserker girl; she was a newborn child who needed guidance. Victor is a failure and a fool for doing what he did to his creation; his refusal to take responsibility is cost everyone he loved with their lives along with his own sanity.

It's hard to believe how easy it is to fall in love with characters like Fran. Characters who, within the context of their story, are creatures or machines artificially made rather than born with a purpose in mind. Watching them develop feelings and learn about their environment is captivating to say the least. There are so many paths for them: discovering some darkness about human nature, being cherished like an ordinary child, or even a monster forged by neglect and rejection.

Just an Unlucky Irishman in a Blue Spandex Minus Gilles I tend to appreciate every character I cover way more after their lore.

She's to good for this world

One thing I liked about F/A was that they used Command seals as trump card they supposed to be.

She didn't understand humans (being one) and tried to give happiness to her father with what gave her happiness. She hated herself for being incomplete on the eyes of the one she loved, believing that she was useless. I hate how much it makes me feel, being different doesn't make you imperfect, it's a lesson that I still try to understand.

One of my favourite Apocrypha servants. Thanks for making yet another great Lore video. The acted out parts was really good too.

The "downside" (in bigger air quotes than the text allows) of Ai Nonaka's voice is that she can never not sound cute, even when she's not trying to sound cute. And I LOVE IT!

I really like the London story. Mordred and Fran become like sisters.

It made Fran's sections in Apocrypha much more fun to read. I love when they give specific details like their dialogue.

Fran is the kind of person I wanna keep by my side for...well, forever. The only thing that could've made her better would be if she had been slightly taller. I think we can all agree though; Victor was the real failure.

I feel really bad for neglecting Fran for so long leaving her at lvl 60/60 stage 2 ascension 😢. I really want to level up and ascend Fran more, but I don't have enough Evil Bones required to ascend her further. She needs 24 Bones but I only have 14 Bones 😭. I hope to max ascend and level her before FGO NA version finally gets F/A event. I really enjoyed her moments in F/A anime. Please be patient Fran. I have not forgotten you. Frans Sacrifice actually made me tear up a lot when I watched Apocrypha for the first time. It made me also realize how sad the backstory and life of Frankenstien's monster was. All because Victor didnt understand that his monster would in reality actually have the brain of a newly born child than the intellegence he expected them to have.

Firstly amazing lore video! I love all the lore you do. Secondly I’m curious, did they ever mention that Fran’s will is passed on through the electricity in Blasted Tree? Because I’m sure they don’t in the anime, which is a issue I have with the last fight because it feels like it came out of nowhere to me, like an Ex Machina.

They did in the anime. During the last fight there is a flashback showing that sieg absorbs the blasted tree. And Her master even says:" you were with me all this time"

Frankenstain is one of my favorite works of fiction and this rendition was... different to say the least but very enjoyable.

I remember getting Fran while rolling for Jalter and while I would've LOVED to get the Witch of Vengeance, I'm glad I got Fran and Weaver

Just don't abandon it if it's like 99% perfect only. Victor didn't achieve that missing 1% with the eyes and that basically made him call it a complete failure....and pretty much ruin everyone else's lives (coz he didn't wanna ruin his by *gasp* taking responsibility for his actions) :D

Victor Frankenstein can now add “dumbass” to his repertoire of “college dropout,” “neurotic egotist,” and “selfish prick with no regard for consequences.” Depressingly, at least two of those terms also apply to me. Fran was as innocent as a child, and never given a chance to live properly. How sad is it, that hearing her master steel his heart and aid her in a suicide attack because he’s grown to care about her is “the happiest moment of her life.” One part of the Fragments of Chaldea fanfic I particularly enjoyed was Fran being paired with a kind, devoted OC named (pardon, it’s been so long since I last read it,) Anton. He’s a computer whiz initially interested in Female Fujimaru’s counterpart Gabrielle Rutherford, but realizes his feelings for Fran after she sticks by him and protects him from an asshole supervisor. Theirs is a particularly endearing pair. Another reason I’m sad the story ended prematurely. Thank you for the video.
