Thank you so much for having the time and energy to address this foolishness. I see people mentioned Flash, Theodore and maybe Bambatta & Hurk. But they ALL were at out door Park "JAMS"(the word Hip Hop wasn't "used"yet, but that's what it was) and all were influenced by DJ Cool Dee, his Brother Tyrone, & Disco King Mario... Don't let the" Disco" part fool you. That came LATER. RIP to Mario/Tyrone..... Zulu King Amin ♠️

I am puerto Rican. I gotta side with you brother. Puerto Ricans were there from the beginning in the same hoods but ain't no Puerto Rican founding members or 70s pioneers when it came to spoken word hip hop. And there's a reason why there was always a Black Harlem and a Spanish Harlem. Cuz everyone stood on their own side beefing.

Hope you get well soon, eventually the roots of hip hop started by slave shout songs when the slave were singing dancing on the plantation fields to singling other slaves to escape to the underground rail road.

Afro Latinos are our ppls and u must have 50% African ancestry to be afro Latino Latinos are on the average 60-80% Iberians ( Spaniards ) west Europeans whites - and they are not supposed use their Nword - Spaniards created the Nword NEGRO And Latinos hide the fact that their ancestors are Spaniards that enslaved the black race 400 years

I wish people would stop making blanket statements about Latinos. Yes there’s always been a segment of Latinos that didn’t fk with Black people. Same as there’s always been a segment of Black people that didn’t fk with Latinos. Neither segment represents the entire community.
