Fastest Self-sustaining Nether Tree Farm Using Science

Ойындар

Synthesising the beauty of Science with the reliability of Maths to implement the fastest possible single-core nether tree farm you can fathom which is still able to produce all the bone meal it uses and then some.
This project started in mid-2021 when I was trying to figure out the average amount of wart blocks and shroomlights generated per nether tree and had only just started looking at the generation code for them.
A year later whilst heavily procrastinating study for an English literature exam, I had the thought of working out every possible shape of nether tree that could possibly generate and then taking the weighted average of all of them to find the fabled "average huge fungus".
This method ended up producing a few heatmaps which would soon become invaluable tools for any player interested in designing optimised nether tree farm layouts, including one for the farm featured in this video.

I've played minecraft for year and always wanted self sustaining tree farms. I knew that nether trees were the answer but don't know math or how to design. Many designs I saw were either too slow or need a bone meal farm hooked up to them to make them work. I'm a farm perfectionist, which is why your farm fits perfectly my criteria. You can get a lot more stems and shroomlights (around twice as much) at the cost of less wart blocks, the dualcore farm I made with Krebs does that. Dualcore still runs with one player so imo it's not a different category but I think ncolyer disagrees. This farm is still good tho and would be fine to build in survival+has the advantage of being self sufficient, although that's less of a big deal since moss farms exist

I absolutly hate math, but this video was incredibly interesting for me and that reall, really suprized me in the best way possible. The farm is also perfect for my world as well, cuz I need over 100k pistons and I was really afraid of the bonemeal farming and this is self sustaining. If you're wondering why I need 100k pistons, its cuz I'm mentally insane
