Almost. Actually, second fastest, after the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, which beat the Model S Plaid's time on the green hell by - just - 2 seconds (7 minutes and 33 vs 7 minutes and 35).
Nevertheless, the Plaid is still the quickest accelerating car on the market: 0-60mph in 1.99 seconds, thanks to its 1,020 horsepower, combining two motors into one housing, each providing precise control of a wheel.
It enables “Plaid Mode,” which allows for extreme vehicle acceleration speeds. The carbon-wrapped motor is, as put by Elon Musk, “arguably the most advanced motor on Earth.”

TESLA internally has Already DEVELOPED a Version of the Model S with DUAL Plaid Drive units with (4) Plaid motors. thats 2 motors FWD & 2 motors RWD, and a large 100 kwh Battery pack. while NOT using Gigacastings, TESLA Plaid S does use LARGE DIE castings of its PLAID Drivetrain & Suspension modules.
AMAZING car.. from interior to exterior - technology to quality and fun... just the best car on the market to date.. AND SEATS 5 PEOPLE, half a ton legal luggage weight capacity and nearly 700 liters of lugga space!!! INSANE. The price it has does not do it justice. ..AND CAN'T await the TESLA Roadster 2 to come out soon!!!

TESLA Plaid S is now priced LOWER than the Looocid motors air Pure.......lol RIP , to Looocid motors.
Nope. Tesla gave time consisted of best sector times. The way this car thermal management is setup makes it absolutely useless on the track. Not even 1 lap wonder.

You serious? This thing has literally 2x the radiators along with heatpumt and octovalve for thermal management compared with the previous one. You probably confused this because Porsche Taycan overheats so its not a 760hp (peak) car but 660hp at best and after 2 laps on a track gets beaten by the Model 3...

@@lukabosnjak3829 now i know you are a fanboy. All electric cars overheat while driven hard. Also all electric cars have problem generating heat even even with heatpupm during winter and normal driving.

@@hagestad Well this one has by far the smallest issue with those tasks and it's a fact, also ice cars are affected by temperature as well

@@lukabosnjak3829 Not like Eleetric ones one bit. Electric ones have to create ana dissipate heat. Its at the point that toyota is scavenging heat from electric engine differential to heat the cabin.
I am okay with Tesla. But as Musk himself says it's just a temporary fix not a sustainable solution
