Fast Ferry to Liloan Port Visayas from Surigao City Mindanao
Cristina and I made the decision to leave the Mindanao region and head North - towards Manila. Before leaving Surigao City Cristina gave our stay at the Annex Hotel Tavern a two thumbs up rating - we both loved this good value stay. We got on a fast ferry at Surigao City, Mindanao bound for Liloan Port, Southern Leyte Province in the Visayas region. We had a great time in Mindanao will be back for sure! In Liloan Port we enjoyed the small town vibe with super clear ocean water and a fun BBQ zone on the waterfront. Hi Joe & Cristina, What's the name of the Fast Ferry you took? And how long did it take? FyI, on the southern end of Panaoan Island is Port of Benit (San Ricardo, Southern Leye). And it only takes 1-1.5 hurs there to cross via normal ferry (faster if on a fast craft - which I am not sure is even available there)...

We took FastCat. It took about 3 hours to get to Liloan from Surigao City. I should say that we were a bit confused. When Cristina and I walked into the port building at Surigao City we though we could buy a ticket there. I had thought that we would be going to San Ricardo. Anyway we were told we could not purchase a ticket in the port building and were directed to a ticket office on the street - which we could not find at first. Then we found a ticket office and it seemed we were in the right place. But then after we had purchased the tickets I found that we were going to Liloan and not San Ricardo. Not the first time we have ended up in a place we had not thought we were going to. Good BBQ in Liloan!
