Hi Kevin! I've been watching your videos since the channel begun, and very excited to have secured a job as a User Researcher after my Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology degree. Thanks for the inspiration, you helped me to keep going with my love for UX even when there were few junior jobs out there, thanks man 💙

Hey Kevin! What is your take on getting a Nielsen Norman Group Certificate? Have you seen people get UX jobs right after?

Hey Angel! I'm not personally familiar with it - I don't think many UXRs have it, so I don't think it'll be a make or break for getting a UX job, but worth looking into it!

Nice! Would you use unmoderated studies for later on in the UX process vs early on using moderated ones for early prototypes?

Hey! Well, it's not that would do it 100% of the time. It depends! If I need more people, then yes, but I do like moderated studies so I can talk to people. Usually talking to people is the better way to go!

Hi Kevin, what sample size do you suggest for a good unmoderated usability testing?

  • @zerotoux

Hey Judy!! With sample sizes, the answer is usually "it depends". Hahah The great thing about unmoderated tools is that you can recruit them pretty quickly, so if you start with 6 or 8 participants, and that doesn't seem to be enough, you can always recruit more. If you're testing one design, usually 6 should do the trick, if you're comparing multiple versions, consider between-subjects, and up the sample size
